“Accessible to Subway!”
I Like it. It is very accessible to subway. You just keep walking on 39 th street down to queens blvd. It is a 15-20 mins walk, and it's a friendly neighborhood..
“GREAT HOTEL IN NEW YORK CITY”
Excellent Location to travel around New York City, Quality and Affordability, Professional and Friendly Staff...Great Place!..I Highly Recommend Queensboro Hotel.

“Fun,Fun, Fun”
althought the hotel is next to the freeway you would never know it it is very quite. the staff are out standing they were there to help use with any thing we needed. The driver took took us .the drive took us down town every day, and took an diffrent route so we could see the sit was sighs.Breakfast was great a lot to choose from. and if you needed to something to drink, you could get it any time of day or night. , the only concern i had was room 312 it is very small due to the fact that the elavetor is next to it, but we did not spend much time in the room we were gone most of the day. the hotel is very close to subway, wihich was great, if you got back late from the city,, you just took the sub way, we flet safe walking back to the hotel, new yorkers are nice people i would go back again and stay at the Gueensbro hotel,
“Good family hotel easy access to Manhattan”
Very helpful staff for pick up and shuttles, and local transport. Easy walk to the tube and some nice and cheap local restaurants. Lots of little shops on the way to the tube.
“Great value! Would definitely stay here again.”
As a poor grad student who once lived a life of a full-time professional, I am definitely looking for the cheapest place that isn't horribly crappy. This hotel was just over what I was hoping to pay, but far surpassed my expectations. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly, except for the ladies who ran breakfast -- but who can stay cheerful with a bunch of greedy tourists who snatch up five bagels, three muffins, ten sausages, and two yogurts at a time. Heck, even I was annoyed by my fellow hotel dwellers... mostly because I got to breakfast 30 minutes before it ended and didn't have anything to eat because they stopped replenishing the food by then. Frown. But the one day that I did make it to breakfast early enough, the food wasn't bad. The rooms were modern and nicely decorated. We even had a nice view of the cemetery across the freeway. It's about half a mile from the subway, which is about a ten minute walk. The neighborhood looked a little sketchy at first, but the hotel staff said it was safe, and we felt okay walking home every night. And seriously, the walk is not bad at all. They also have a computer and printer you can use in the lobby -- no charge for the internet, but not sure about printing since I didn't try.
“Our "Go To" hotel for NY”
This was an excellent hotel especially for the price! Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly and very accomodating. I have to agree with some other reviewers that the breakfast bar was a little under stocked. The woman in charge seemed more interested in helping other guest take care of their children than filling the breakfast items and coffee. The walk to the subway was pleasant and felt very safe. The #7 line dropped us off right next to our theater in the middle of 42nd and Broadway. Inexpensive and efficient! The people in the neighborhood were friendly and helpful as well. I really loved our experience and have already recommended the hotel to several friends. FYI- The sign for the hotel was a little tricky to see. We were informed they had recently changed hands and were under new ownership but would be getting a larger more visable sign in the near future. Just keep an eye pealed when coming off the expressway.
“Excellent stay, would consider going back”
Our stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable. The room was good with all the desired amenities, clean furnishings and well maintained toilets. The front desk representatives were absolutely friendly, eager to guide and provide help. Guess this was the highlight, as we discussed several details with them - travel in NY, catching of the metro, the cab, ordering food etc. It was truly - service with a smile. The breakfast was ok, somewhat basic with not too many options, but the positive aspect was the availability if tea/coffee/hot chocolate/juices all throughout the day. The walk to the subway (metro/train) is about 10-12 mins, while the neighbourhood seemed fine, it just felt ackward to walk through with my wife while reaching back late at night from the station. A good stay, I would say value for money, slightly away from the hustle-bustle of manhattan but madeup by the service delivery
“Great Hotel for a low budget”
If you don't mind the 10 minute walk from the Subway stop, this is a fantastic hotel. The staff were friendly, room was clean and the breakfast was good and the price was right.
“"Can't wait to go back"”
Very happy with stay, can't wait to go back, which should be very soon.
