“Great Staff!”
Stayed at Marco Lexington for business. Very helpful to have free shuttle pick you up at airport to take you to hotel BUT what they do not say in ad is that you must call the hotel when you get your luggage and THEN they send the shuttle to pick you up on Arrival Level by the airline you came on! Hotel is located in Chinatown where everything around you are stores/restaurants and businesses that are oriental. Only 'american' restaurants around the hotel is a bagel place on corner right near hotel or the hotel restaurant. Hotel restaurant gives 10% discount to hotel guests. Had dinner there which was great- good portions, variety to choose from and is open till past 10 which is a bonus. You can walk about 4 blocks to subway to get into New York City or turn to left at that intersection and go to Macy's or turn to right to go to an indoor mall. Shopping otherwise in area includes oriental food and businesses. Very interesting and everyone for the most part speaks English. Hotel staff were VERY helpful calling cabs when I needed to go to client, charged my BB when I forgot my charger at home and allowed me 30 minute grace when I needed to take a business call in my room past check-out.
“Nice hotel in Flushing”
My husband and I lived near Flushing for about three years, so we were familiar with the location of this hotel. It is close to the subway, there are tons of places to go shopping, and near lots of places to eat. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and even offered us his metro cards to use (we didn't end up using them, but it was such a nice gesture!). The hotel was very clean (and I'm very picky about hotel cleanliness) and the bed was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in NY!
“Amazing value”
We have stayed in many hotels in Manhattan where we've had to stack our suitcases because the rooms in the affordable hotels were so small. To get a large room requires huge bucks. We had an event in Queens this trip, so decided to try the Marco. WE LOVED IT! We actually got stuck by hurricane Irene, and ended up getting to know the friendly staff. The rooms were clean and the restaurant, Magna, was wonderful. The walk to the 7 train is easy and takes you into Manhattan quickly, and if you catch the express, you can be there in 15 minutes. I'm ditching Manhattan hotels for the Marco from now on. Surrounding neighborhood is Asian and has many good Asian bakeries. It's interesting but there are not many western eateries which isn't a negative -- just something to know. The hotel seemed newly remodeled. The beds were comfortable, the lobby has good seating, and the Internet in the rooms is free and fast. There is also a free shuttle to LGA.
“Excellent hotel at a good value”
I booked the room for my trip less than two weeks beforehand, so I expected to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a sub-par room. Instead, I found a beautiful, well-maintained hotel at a very reasonable price for the area. It was a little bit of a hike to the nearest subway station, and the line was under construction while I was there, but extra exercise walking through a pleasant part of the city and a fairly straightforward transfer to another train to get into Manhattan was a small price to pay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and there were some excellent restaurants in easy walking distance. I will definitely stay here on any return visits to the city. (Be sure to take a good look at the unique artwork in the lobby; it's quite interesting.)
“Hotel exceeded my expectations”
I was more than satisfied with all hotel features. The area in which the hotel is located is safe. There's direct subway connection to Time Square. Finally, there's a nice and not expensive Italian restaurant integrated into the hotel.
“Wonderful Experience”
We were on our first US Open Tennis experience and the Marco added 100% to our trip. Our check-in staff (Jenna) was absolutley wonderful from the first minute! Got great info on the hotel amenities, shuttle services to the USTA, different dining possibilities near-by, shopping tips, and more (believe it or not but it was so helpful and was just so appreciated!) The hotel was very well maintained and all the staff were very, very nice.
“excellent customer service”
Well run hotel with excellent customer service, the manager was very accomodating. My room was upgraded to a two bedroom suite at no extra charge. Hotel is near restaurants, shopping and subway. There was also a shuttle to train station. We had a very pleasant and stress free two night stay. Would highly recommend.
“Great hotel for US Open”
The hotel was nice, quiet, clean, convenient to Flushing Meadows, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We experienced excellent hotel shuttle service to and from US Open tennis. The hotel neighborhood was nothing to look at, but convenient to bus lines and subway station, and safe. Hotel parking was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
“Great Service”
Very clean and the staff is very helpful. The price is very reasonable, definitely my first choice in the area.
“Great Hotel choice for New York stay”
If you are travelling to New York we recommend this Hotel for location service comfort and best of all friendly helpful staff. If in New York we would choose to stay. Price through Expedia was the best around.
