“Manhattan's Best Hotel!”
Without a doubt, the Mandarin Oriental in New York City is the BEST hotel. Why stay anywhere else?
“Wonderful Hotel”
From check-in to check-out, the hotel staff were very friendly, could not do enough for us, special word of thanks to Jenny on reception and Mr Tauser, Hotel General Manager! Door staff also very courtious, obliging and friendly. This was our first visit to New York and could not have picked a better hotel for our 5 night stay. Everything was exceptional, rooms, spa, restaurant, and the views were breathtaking. Would not even consider any other hotel to stay when we go back. If you want the best then its got to be the Mandarin Oriental in New York!
“Best Hotel Stay Ever!!!!!”
Everything about this hotel was superb from the bellman to the housekeepers to the room service to the housekeepers to the front desk...I can not think of 1 single negative thing about this hote. First class all the way. Worth every single penny! I travel a lot and this was the nicest, classiest hotel I've ever stayed at.
“Lovely hotel in great position”
Lovely hotel with great service. No tea/coffee facilities in room but fresh fruit/mineral water and sweet snacks provided on arrival. Gym small and not as well equipped as my husband would have liked; pool good with great views. Restaurants prohibitively expensive to eat in!
“Very Nice”
While the rooms aren't palatial in size, they are very nicely done, with great views. I found the concierge helpful, working with me before my arrival. Service is very responsive but inobstrusive.
“great location - new hotel - great service”
The hotel room was very nice and spacious - bathroom was very nice. Very asian in feel reminded me of my trip to south korea with the availability of fruit in the common areas. The gym was very nice but lacked dumb bells greather than 50 lbs - my limit so not an issue here but I am kinda of light weight. Lap pool is wonderful. Only compliant was the cisco viop phone in the room - this thing made noise all night until I had the brain storm to unplug the thing so I could sleep. It was picking up interference from a cell - I had mine off... paid about $800 a night and felt it was worth it as far as NYC is concerned. Place has a good modern vibe and full service spa - tough to beat all this for this price.
“Amazing and will be going back!”
This hotel was absolutely amazing. I would tell anyone wanting to visit New York to stay in this hotel. It is in the most perfect location, with everything close by. The hotel service was fantastic, they went out of there way for us which i thought was brilliant. I stayed in the Deluxe Hudson View room and it was lovely, the bed was so comfortable and the room was just gorgeous. I am going back in summer and will be staying in this hotel again as i was 100% happy with the stay!
“New York's Best Hotel”
Most romantic hotel. The rooms are spectacular, beautiful view.THe hotel is quiet and peaceful. A great weekend away to return home revitalized.
“Treated like royalty!!”
This hotel was magnificent. From the service to the decor, all was executed with perfection. We brought our Labrador dog with us and he was treated just like a special guest - not once were we told that an area was off limits to animals nor were we given second-class accommodation due to the presence of the dog. Although the hotel is pricey, I think it is worth it for a special occasion or a personal treat.
“Great Hotel, Great Service, Incredible Location”
Mandarin never fails to deliver a beautiful facility and incredible customer service. The NYC Mandarin was no exception. The location is conveniently located atop of a mall that has a Borders and several other traveler friendly amenities similar to the Ritz and Four Seasons in Chicago. The location is unbeatable and the room views are great. I selected a Hudson River View and was very pleased to overlook Riverside Park and see the sunset. I was very pleased that the room had an iPod dockable stereo integrated with the TV and 2.1 surround. This made for a great in room workout and TV controllable iPod menus.
