Pros: The hotel building exterior, caring staff, free shuttle bus and closeness to Flushing Meadows and the airport.
Cons: The style of the rooms is outdated and could be renovated and made more modern.
Location: This hotel is good for people who want to watch tennis at USTA Center or baseball on City Field, and convenient when arriving at LaGuardia Airport.
We needed a hotel that is close to the airport and Flushing Meadows Corona Park that is reasonably priced and we got what we asked for. The hotel is a little bit older and under some construction but the room was clean and comfortable. We didn't spend too much time in the hotel but it's just fine for overnight stay.The staff is really nice and helpful. They have a free shuttle bus to take guests to the US Open, the subway and the airport. The place is not that far from Manhattan but if someone wants to see New York the best choice is to pick any hotel Downtown.

Cons: The rooms need to be updated
Location: We where there strictly for the US OPEN
The pictures on the website are no where near what the facilities look like. The room is very outdated. The plus was the shuttle service to and from the US OPEN and the Embers Lounge.

Buses to US open we're not run promptly, I stayed in this hotel only for the shuttle service to US open. The service was disappointing and wasted lot of time. There are no cabs available near H lot. Bathtub drained painfully slow. The sink faucet water flow was a trickle.

Pros: They have free shuttles to/from US open which makes it much easier for us to visit US open at Flushing Meadows.
Cons: The hotel needs some renovations inside. The mini fridge and safe were removed from the room in 2013. Not convenient at all.
Location: Hotel is conveniently located closed to airport, highways, US open and Flushing Chinatown.
This is our 3rd time staying in this hotel for US open. Free shuttles to subway (No. 7 to Time Square) is provided.

Pros: Close to the US Open. The front desk people and wait staff were nice, although there were not enough of them!
Cons: Detailed cleaning (i.e. vents). More staff, for example in the lounge in the evening when it's the middle of the US Open and the place is packed.
The hotel looked nice from the outside and the lobby area was nice. The lounge and dining rooms were inadequately staffed, so although the waiters were very nice, they couldn't move fast enough to cover all the tables. The vent in the bathroom was appallingly filthy, really horrifying. The rest of the room seemed pretty clean but that was awful. The other problem was the shuttle to the US Open. It was great that the shuttle was offered, and on the way over in the morning everything was fine. On the way back, however, when we walked back to where the bus was supposed to pick us up (a bit of a walk to a remote area with little signage and no one in charge), the 11:10 bus took on a wheelchair passenger and then left without taking any of the more than 20 people who were standing there. I called the hotel after a few minutes and told them what happened and that by then there were 40 people waiting, who would not possibly all fit on on the 11:40 bus. The clerk said they were sending both vans back, which they did, but it just seemed very poorly planned. Also, there was pressure to tip the drivers, which is always difficult. If the shuttle is free, then they should pay the drivers enough. If tips are expected, then people should be told that in advance so they can prepare.

Pros: Nice beds, AC, good service.
Cons: The wifi did not work at all, and there was no remote so I could not turn on the TV.
I needed a hotel to stay for a couple of hours before my flight. Check in was easy, and the room was perfect for me; one queen bed, bathroom, AC, etc. At first, the AC wasn't working, but once I switched it to the proper setting, the room got cold really fast. There was a big TV that would've been great to use, but there was no remote in the room, so I couldn't turn on the TV. Also, the wifi did not work, which was a bummer, because I wouldn't loved to get some work done. Everything else was great, and the four hours of sleep I got before I needed to catch my flight was very comfortable.
