“Great Cost Saver in NYC”
I had several interviews in NYC during between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is a very expensive time of year in NYC, as most know. This hotel offered a lot of space at competitive prices. It is an extended stay/ residential hotel on the UWS. Very near the 1 line. $8 cab from Penn Station. Safe neighborhood. Friendly front desk. This is a very nice hotel and I had a wonderful stay and recommend it strongly. It is not a luxery hotel. The internet is not wireless. There is a heat vent centrally located and a windo unit for AC. The windows actually open, too so that can help. I got a lot of noises from the street so I used the window unit as white noise. Full size fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker in room. Great dining nearby. Laundry in basement plus laundramats nearby. Rooms clean, mostly quiet, safe to go out at night by self. No odd smells or sticky things. So very pleased; fit my needs well.
“basic room but clean and staff very nice”
The room was very basic, but thats all you want a nice bed to sleep in and a clean room. The service was excellent. Would stay there again.
“A perfect hotel”
This hotel was by far the best hotel i have stayed in, in newyork. i have stayed in newyork a few times before and the rooms were usually small and cramped. We stayed in a queen bedroom in the hotel and it was very spacious had a little kitchenette which came incredibly handy. The room was always cleaned perfectly we had absolutely no complaints. the location was great the subway was right next door. I was worried at first as i looked at previous reviews about the staff, but they turned out to be so nice and helpful. I visit new york frequently and will definitely be staying at this hotel again. Its great value for money.
“Great stay at the Imperial Court Hotel”
We arrived hungry at 3:30am due to a late night flight. The front desk clerk named Anthony was friendly, helpful, and let us add items to his food delivery order. We were happily eating NY pizza shortly after walking off the plane. We stayed 7 nights (the minimum required stay for this hotel) and the hotel was great. Private bathroom and kitchenette in our room. The room itself was on the small side, but that's to be expected in NYC, and besides, when you are in NYC for a week, how much time do you really want to spend in the hotel anyway?! The room was clean, the staff friendly, and we would have been comfortable spending a second week there as well. They're in the process of renovating the hotel. Pretty and inviting lobby. The outside shows signs of construction/renovation (as of 12/09), so if you're looking for a cosmetically perfect looking hotel, this may not be your place. Extremely convenient to the subway (1 train is 1 1/2 blocks away on Broadway). Also within walking distance of Central Park and the Museum of Natural History. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a 7 night or more stay in NYC, and will probably stay here again.
“A very good hotel”
This hotel is an elegant old building which has retained its features. It was being decorated and maintained while we were there so it will be even better in future! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location on 79th Street West is very convenient - close to shops and restaurants on Broadway, near Central Park, the Hudson River, Subway, and buses.
“New york baby...”
New york is an amazing place to go if you are even the slightest bit interested. The people are very friendly and helpful should you need to ask them anything. The transport is so good you can get around easily. It takes about half a day to work out the metro systems and what lines go to where. It truely is a 24 hr place and not once did i feel the slightest bit threatened at anytime of day or night..
“On recommande”
“Big room with big bath.”
Very large room with large bathroom, and even a tiny functional kitchen. I upgraded one step and was not dissapointed. I did not expect such a big room in NYC for such a resonable price.
