“Great Location at Great Price”
It was a great experience in this hotel. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel is couple of blocks from subway. I travelled with my wife and daughter and faced no problem in my 3 days stay. The streets were sketchy, but the way from parking lot was quite safe and convenient. Manhattan was just couple of stations away. Easy to reach brooklyn bridge as well (Just one connection).
“Would use this hotel again”
This hotel is in Long Island City just off Manhattan Island and the main tourist hotel system. As a 2 star hotel it punches above its weight in many ways and has just a couple of flaws though nothing serious. The hotel seemed to be full for the eight days we spent there witch is a good sigh and the clientele is a mixture of couples families and young adults. Breakfast is basic Juice Bagels Toast and Tea or Coffee and the dining area is rather small epically when all the tables are full with guests having breakfast. As a result of this we had breakfast in our room each morning as did a large number of other guests. This inevitably resulted in spillage that has badly stained the carpet with what is obviously food been continually taken to rooms in this way. Deep cleaning or replace the carpet in the hall ways on each floor would have a marked improvement the overall appearance of the interior. That said our room was perfectly cleaned, bins emptied, bed made and fresh towels each day. Tea or coffee can be made in the room and this was also refresher daily. There is a small safe for guests in each room to hold the normal valuables, on one occasion I neglected to lock the safe containing passports and a sizable sum of cash as well as other valuables yet when I returned all were still as I had left them. Manhattan can be accessed by taxi, bus or by subway witch is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, the journey to time square is 10 mins approx.

Fantastic hotel! great service
“A really nice place to stay- big bang for your buck.”
room nicely appointed- linens top quality- like ironing board, iron, hair dryer, fridge and coffee maker in room...only negatives; hall carpet needs cleaning, TV reception wasn't good on broadcast stations- OK on cable channels... Overall very happy with the hotel...
“Recommended.”
For the price they ask you don't find anything better in the area. Free continental breakfast makes it even better. Friendly staff, especially guy behind reception desk. Hotel is located just a few blocks from subway line F (5 minute walk).
“Would use the Hotel again”
Room was very good, not large but big enough, bed very comfortable. The side of the Hotel our room was on faced the East River with an excellent view of the Manhattan skyline. However on the other side the view would be quite different as it looks out over Queens. There was no cooked breakfast but as much pastries, cereal, toast and coffee/tea as you wanted and i am puzzled by previous comments about the breakfast room. The actual room was small but with a larger room right next door there was never any problem finding a table. If you are looking for a hotel where you can stay all day and use the facilities this is not for you. If you want a comfortable base from which to explore New York then this is good value. The Hotel is about 500 yds from the subway and we never had any concerns about making the walk at any time of the day. It is also easy to get to from JFK using the air train which connects to the subway, taking the E train to Roosevelt /Jackson Heights changing to the F train and getting of at 21st Queensboro which is the station by the Hotel. $5 for the air train, $2.25 for the subway. You buy the tickets when you exit the air train and there is an attendant always on hand to help when you get off the air train by the ticket machines.
“Great for the price”
Very clean hotel and very friendly staff as well. Although the area looks kind of run down, it feels safe and it's also close to the subway. It takes only 15 min. to get downtown. I would definitely stay here again!
“Nice new hotel”
Room clean and nice new hotel. Speedy elevator. I had a nice view of Manhattan. Continental breakfast had a small but adequate selection.
“Close to subway”
It was about a 2 block walk to the subway station. The hotel provided us with a free subway map and a list of the subway stations to use to get to the main attractions in NY. Manhattan was 2 stops away-less than 10 minutes. Only one time during morning rush hour was the subway packed. Sometimes our subway pass wouldn't work, but switching to another turnstile usually solved the problem. The Continental breakfast consisted of bread, bagels, donuts, cereal, coffee, milk, apple and orange juice. The jelly filled donuts were the best. The breakfast tables were usually all occupied, but there is a meeting room for use as well. There was a fitness room and Internet access was available in the lobby. On the last day we could have stored our suitcases in a room next to the check-in counter, but we opted to go to the airport early. The Yellow cab had a touch-screen/GPS unit that calculated the tip and took credit cards to pay. It was about 15 min. for the trip to/from LaGuardia. The next time we visit NY, we will definitely consider this hotel again.
“Very good~~”
Nice place to stay~~
