“Really Satisfied”

I was just looking for a good deal on a hotel in Dallas and I picked this hotel. I usually just want a decent place but not too expesive. This hotel was a really nice surpise. It was a clas higher that an average hotel. The location was great as well.

Don't believe bad reviews!! Great area. 5 mn from bodegas, delis, subway ride to Times Sq. Will stay here again. Quiet Brownstone neighborhood close to Central Park-residential. Room was spotless. Some guests were noisy in the halls but hey, at this price young kids are staying here and its they who are rude, not the staff! Radiators are noisy-if you don't know what a radiator sounds like! Adjusted the temp and it was fine. Room itself was huge. Shared bath was very clean, shower was a single, private, not the group shower of the hostels. Also, a plus over hostels that cost the same or more, there was a working elevator, a necessity because I am disabled. I had noted this in my res and when the night clerk saw we were placed in a 2nd floor room he was dismayed and told me to please make sure I was on the 1st floor next visit. It was not a problem because of the elevator and our room was very near to it and the bath. I asked his permission to take a photo in the lobby for reviewing purposes and he was very concerned. Many guests have knocked the hotel. I assured him that was not the case. I wanted to disprove these naysayers. I do not have money to burn and this was a great place to stay. We asked for extra blankets at check in and they arrived minutes later, warm and fresh from the laundry. I have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels less welcoming. Please, don't review this like an Econo Lodge in Philly. NYC is expensive! This is a good room at this price you can't do better

“Great Location”

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Yes we had to share a bathroom(2 per 8 rooms)but never had a problem with it! They kept the rest rooms and the rooms very clean and if there was a problem(toilet over flowed)They were on it almost as soon as we informed them. The hotel was centrally located,two blocks from the subway and with all the money we saved on Hotel fees we REALLY had a fantastic time in New York! We felt very safe in the neighborhood it was in and came and went at all hours of the day and night without a single problem.

“I liked the Riverside”

Clean, quite rooms. Small but a great price. Great location, walking distance to a lot of things. Short cab ride to Times Square. If you don't mind a shared bath this is the place. I found the rooms and bathrooms to be very clean. I would recommend this to budget travelers.

“Great for the price in NY”

If your wanting to explore NY and not spend a lot of money, this is the hotel. Our only request was a safe and inexpensive place to lay our head at night. We definitely would stay again. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe coming & going at all hours, even 3am one morning. Subway is only 2 blocks away which was convenient and easily accessible. We are glad we chose Hotel Riverside and saved our money for actual activities in the city. Staff was very pleasant. It's by no means a luxury hotel but great for a couple or single person needing a place to sleep without great expectations of the hotel save those for the city, which made are visit great.

“It's 1.5 stars people, you get what you pay for.”

I was in Manhattan for a weekend to party and hit clubs... just needed a place to keep my stuff and grab a few hours sleep when needed; and for that, this hotel was perfect. Great location just a few minutes walk from the subway stn at Broadway and W 72nd st., with lots of shops and stores around for food, etc.... the hotel is as basic as they get, but the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean. Gotta say I'm not the type to easily take to sharing my bathroom with the whole floor, but again, for a few days, it's not a big deal. For what I paid, I thought it was an excellent deal. I didn't pay for 5 star, I didn't expect 5 star. Definately recommend to singles who don't mind a spartan hotel. Wouldn't recommend to families or people who need mints on the pillows after room service is finished.

“Budget Travelers Dream!”

And we're not talking about nightmares, either! Hotel Riverside Studios was absolutely the best place to stay--and should I return to Manhattan--I will DEFINTELY be looking at this place again! The hotel was in the center of where I wanted to be: Central Park, Museum Row, Subway, eateries, etc. Hotel Riverside Studios are no palace; the rooms are simple, equipped with a bed, fridge, dresser, TV--but kept immaculately clean. Not one uneasy, creepy, or uncomfortable thought crossed my mind during my 3-day stay. Never ONCE had to wait to use the bathroom (communal toilets/showers). When I travel, all I need is a safe, clean place to sleep--and that's exactly what I got. Fantastic accommodations. Amazing rates. Phenomenial location. Definitely one on my list of top & cheap deals.

good hotel very close to the centre 15 to 20 minutes by walk to times square. Very clean and tidy.

“Love the character”

If your are a business traveler you probably won't like it but as a tourist looking for quaint and in the middle of things, your going to love it. We were near everything and would recommend it again.
