“Thumbs up”

This is a is a newly renovated small hotel at the edge of Chinatown, facing Columbus park. The location means it's super close to downtown. The eateries around also offers super affordable food just within yards of the door. The room I stayed in was new and spotless. The temperature was ideal. The staff was very friendly and addressed my needs. Won't hesitate to stay again.

“"You Would Never Expect a Gem Like this Here!"”

Decided to stay for a pre-wedding getaway with my fiancee after picking up my wedding gown. Didn't know what to expect becasue it looked too good to be true. Had no agenda of what we were doing that weekend except relax, shop and eat. We walked through little Italy and 2 blocks later into Chinatown, right next to other stores was the front of the hotel. Unassuming, clean, crisp front. The lobby is as nice as it seems in the pics. We got the king room with parkview terrace. It was beautiful! Clean, patio furniture and overlooking Columbus Park. It was a very ethnic, non-touristy area....very neighborhood like and this gem of a hotel was just planted right in the middle of it. Soooo clean, beatuiful tv and modern clean bathroom. Mini-fridge and coffee maker too. Great use of space. When we got to the room and I tried to put on the bathroom light it would't go on...I was so upset going "I knew this was too good to be true" and then we found it. Upon entering the room you take the credit card like room key and put it in the slot on the wall and it puts the electricity on! When you leave and take the card the electricity shuts off as a way to go green! Voucher for breakfast next store at restaurant which was delicious and we took it upstairs and ate on our terrace! Very friendly, everything was new and redone. So happy we went....other than a major chain hotel in SoHo there is nothing like it around!! Front desk so friendly and professional. Great team at Hotel Mulberry!

“Best Deal in Manhattan”

For the price I paid (an Expedia special deal), this hotel was an absolute steal! The common areas were pretty basic, but they are new, very clean, and the lobby is tastefully decorated in its simple way. The staff was very helpful and cordial. But the room is where the hotel really stood out. The room was modern, comfortable (great bed), and clean. You could easily pay twice as much for a room that is half as nice in Manhattan. The location is probably not ideal for a tourist visiting New York for the first (and perhaps only) time because it is out of the way from most of the main tourist areas. But for someone who visits New York regularly and wants to see some different parts of the city, the location is excellent. The hotel sits in the heart of Chinatown, and the restaurants and cafes of Little Italy are just 2 blocks. I very enthusiastically recommend the Hotel Mulberry Hotel.

“Clean and attentive to our needs”

This hotel is in the middle of Chinatown. It stands out in the neighborhood because it is new with lovely decor. It's also just blocks from Little Italy. Walking distance to the 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street the subway and street vendors. The neighborhood is old, but we felt safe even without with the police station two blocks away. It's surprisingly quiet. There are dozens of Chinese, Vietnamese and Italian resturants within three blocks. A Duncan Donut store and laundry with 60 feet of the entrance and a park across the street. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

“New hotel in Chinatown. Wonderful bed.”

The most comfortable bed of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Hotel staff very helpful and obliging. A 10 minute walk from Canal St Subway station, and located right in Chinatown.

“Awesome hotel in Chinatown, minutes from Soho”

This was an amazing hotel. We found the location perfect and the view from the private terrace was beautiful. The room price was very reasonable and the staff was incredibly helpful. I know others were at the hotel, but I felt we were alone. The room was so clean that I would say it was the cleanest hotel room we've ever had. We also had plenty of pillows. My youngest figured out how to use the TV, but I never got it. Breakfast at the cafe down the street was ok, but very meager. I had to add to the free items it by paying for some extra drinks and things. After leaving Penn Station and seeing the outside of a few of the hotels I reviewed online, I was REALLY glad to have chosen the Hotel Mulberry and will stay there again. I loved being close to Soho, but away from the tourist trap areas. I took an early morning walk and encountered no one who seemed to be not from the city/area. Quiet enough for me and close enough to the excitement my kids crave.

“Absolute treasure”

Hotel Mulberry is a lovely small clean hotel on the edge of Chinatown. The court houses, the Brooklyn Bridge and Little Italy are all a gentle stroll away. In the morning you can look out the window and see elderly Chinese doing tai chi in the park. The room and hallway were very clean and the beds were so comfortable, it was hard to leave. The decor is really tasteful-kind of a light 40's curvey mixed with clean minimalism. Breakfast was included in the restaurant just two doors down the street. They offered whole wheat pancakes in addition to the usual fare. And parking was very reasonable in a garage at the bottom of Mott Street, less than a block away.

“Great last minute find, Expedia!!!”

I spent the day in NYC and decided to stay overnight. I couldn't find any hotel room available in NY when calling hotels directly so I called Expedia. They found me Hotel Mulberrry. I grabbed a cab and went. The hotel had just received my reservation from Expedia when I arrived therefore, check-in was super easy! Everyone at the desk was friendly and helpful. I went up to my room which overlooked a park. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable and full of pillows!!! I was hungry so I took a short walk down the street to Little Italy for a great meal, then went back to the hotel for a great night's sleep! I had such a blast in NYC and will be returning soon. I looked forward to booking again with Hotel Mulberry in August sometime. What a great find!!!!!

“Amazing Find”

The Hotel is so well positioned right in the heart of Chinatown and Little Italy yet down a quite little Street with a park across the road. Noise in this hotel is not a problem! It is close to the subway and a few blocks walk you can connect with the Hop on Hop Off buses. The rooms are well decorated, clean and well stocked with everything you need. The rate also included breakfast at "Mamma's Eatery" which were delicious. The Staff were pleasant and welcoming and very helpful. Parking whilst expensive was next door. My Son & his wife are visiting in December and have recommended that hotel to them. If I had to stay in New York again I would defenitely stay here. Great stay!
