“Great Location”
We enjoyed this trendy European style hotel which included a continental breakfast. There is close subway access and it's within easy walking distance of Greenwich Village, the East Village, and Lower East Side. The rooms are small but nicely appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Hotel East Houston again!
“Would go back...”
Excellent hotel. Small room, but adequate. Recently updated. Very European in feel. Great breakfasts, rooftop views, helpful staff. Close to good eating places..Katz's, Public, etc Would go back!
“Small but perfectly formed”
Great little boutique hotel in a very convenient location. The room was very small but was spotless, very comfortable and smartly decorated. If I had one complaint, it was that it was that it was a bit chilly but nothing to ruin the trip. We also got a complimentary continental breakfast which we weren't expecting. Highly recommended.

Très bien situé (au carrefour du Lower East Side, d'East Village & de Nolita). Chambre de taille correcte et agréable. Amabilité, serviabilité, efficacité. Que dire d'autre? Le petit-déjeuner était même inclus.
“Amazing Hotel”
Room size to be expected, but the hotel was in a great location with a train stop, Whole Foods and liquor store all right there. Nice brunch spots around and very quiet. The roof deck is extremely refreshing as a unique space to enjoy the city with some privacy and some elbow room. I will definitely stay there again. Also, the staff provided a level of service you would expect at a 5 star hotel and I am not exaggerating. I also saved quite a bit with the included breakfast which was quite good. Two thumbs up from a Chicago city boy!
“Great lower Manhattan hotel !”
Yes its a small room but all else is on the mark. Great location in central lower Manhattan. Rooftop rocks. Could use a small fridge but dont know where you could put it. New and clean.
“Great place to stay”
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great hotel. The only negative is that the rooms are small but that is just the case in NYC. The breakfast was great, the staff was helpful and you can't beat the view from the rooftop deck. The location was also convenient, close to subway stops and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Would stay here again.
“Great hotel”
Better then we expected. A great place to sleep at night. Great coffee in the morning and a nice upper deck to relax and enjoy the coffee. Small, but all you need to come back to after a great day in the city. Great location. 5 minute walk to Katz's Deli for the best pastrami sandwich. Would stay here again.
“Small but very comfortable”
I was really suprised by the extreme comfort, very very clean rooms,glass shower, flat on wall tv,wonderful toiletries, staff was excellent,very helpful. The only down side that I could see was the lack of parking... but I did not take my car it really did not matter top me, I would recommend this hotel and would quickly stay there again !
“Fab find in New York City”
What a great hotel! If you're looking to get out of Times Square with the tourists and get to the heart of funky NYC, then this is the hotel for it! We loved staying at East Houston Hotel - great service, great room, free wifi, fantastic breakfast included every day... no complaints at all! Just up the road from Katz's Deli, almost next door to the BEST bagels we've ever had and surrounded by great restaurants and bars - we were really happy staying here. Not overly noisy and we felt really comfortable walking around at night. Not sure if it's a great location for kids just because it's not in the heart of the tourist sites, but if you're a young couple or travelling with friends, you'll really enjoy staying on Houston Street. Right next to SoHo, NoHo, Greenwich etc. We stayed here for 5 nights and would definitely go back.
