“Great value”
The hotel was exactly as it was pictured online. It was in a nice, more residential area and conveniantly located about 5 blocks from a subway station. My only negative was that the room was slightly warm and the air conditioning was not switched on yet for the summer. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful.
“Great Value Hotel in Excelent Location”
I booked this hotel after reading the reviews left on Expedia and I was not let down. The hotel was exactly as reviewed. The staff were very welcoming and when asked for help or advice were only too willing to assist. The hotel does not have all of the fancy faclities which you pay for but never use. What it does have is very comfortable, good sized, well equipped rooms which are spotlessly clean. The location is excellant as it is very close to both the Hudson River, which we could see from our room, and a very short walk to Central Park. Time square is within walking distance. The Belleclaire is one block from the nearest metro station a a few yards from the nearest bus stop giving easy access to all the major shops and attractions. This was our first visit to the Big Apple and when we return we will stay in the Belleclaire again.
“Loved it!”
My stay at the Belleclaire was a delight. My friend and I arrived hours early, so we figured we would have to ask the hotel to hold our bags until the 3 pm check in - but instead we were cheerily greeted, checked in immediately, and even upgraded to a huge family suite. The rooms were gorgeous and extremely clean (I checked EVERYTHING due to the NY bedbug situation), and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel itself is a lovely maze of corridors and antique details; I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location is also excellent - two blocks from the Natural History Museum and Central Park, a short walk to the Met, and there's a great diner on the corner, right across the street from the hotel. Loved it.
“Fabulous place for little cost”
I would recommend this place to anyone. Completely affordable, and lovely. A nice view, comfy rooms, nice staff. And it's completely affordable. Top notch place.
“Nice hotel.”
I have 4 young children and it is hard to find a reasonably priced hotel room for 6 people. It was a two bedroom. Plenty of room. Good location. Easy to find and reasonable parking.
“very nice boutique hotel!!”
The atmosphere of the hotel is very nice, convenient location, very nice and helpful staff. Room is cleaned as soon as guest leave the hotel, no annoying knocks from housekeeping who can't wait till the customer leave the hotel. Clean towels and toiletries provided everyday. Will come back for sure.
“LOVE this hotel!”
The location, the staff, and the beds - the best I have ever stayed in. So convenient to everything, 24 hour market downstairs. Subway a block away - you can't get better than that. Loved going back to the hotel after a day in town. The street is tree lined and green. The hotel so quiet - a little paradise after huge days out. I had brekky across the road at Cosi - fabulous!!! I will be back again as soon as I can!
“Great Hotel in quiet upper west side”
As this was my first time to New York I was unsure where to look for hotels. This hotel was perfect, it was a minute walk to the nearest subway which took 5-10 minutes to get downtown. Situated just five minutes from Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History I would most certainly recommend this hotel. Inside the hotel was very clean and the staff always very welcoming and happy to happy. Our room was a modern if a little on the small side Queen bed room. Although the bathroom was shared, the rooms next to us were en-suite so we effectively had our own bathroom. The decor in the room was lovely very modern with a comfortable bed. The halls of the hotel could perhaps do with some TLC but now I'm nitpicking. Although the hotel, like most in NY does not provide breakfast there a numerous diners in the vicinity. There is also a great supermarket nextdoor which always seemed to be open which sold a great selection of food for snacks and lunches etc. We both had a great in New York and will certainly be visiting again and I would have no hesitation in booking a room at this hotel.
“First Timer”
This was my first time at this rather quaint hotel. Very good experience.
“Great deal”
The Hotel Belleclaire was exactly what I expected. My room was small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent location.
