“Good hotel for short stay or going to Meadowlands”
Good location for the Meadowlands. Not a great location for the train station. Hotel was in need of renovations but was clean. Not a bad place for a short stay.
“Good value”
Good value for NYC; free parking and close to Secaucus ; however, hard to find using GPS; got lost couple of times; address doesn't match neither on internet or provided in the lobby; if you trying to find it , search for "Sheraton" , its right next door to the hotel There were dogs barking in the lobby in the evening; otherwise everything was fine.
“Good experience in NJ”
We booked this hotel because it is right across from the Meadowlands. We were going to the Giants game on New Years Day. The convenience was awesome. The hotel is also pet friendly so we were able to save on a kennel stay and still have our pooch with us. THere are not alot of amenities with this hotel as it is an extended stay hotel. It did, however meet all of our needs and we would stay there again if in town for the Giants.
“A little hard to find, comfy once inside.”
Front desk person was not there and we had to wait outside with the baby in the car until they showed up to let us check in and bring her in. Room was a pleasant experience but clearly some small aspects appeared worn down, but everything functioned perfectly well. The biggest drawback is that it's really hard to find this place even with a current navigation system. Needed to try twice with Google maps via smartphone. The address is VERY particular and my other Garmin nav could not even find it. It got it the second time around but ended driving across the bridge twice. No fun at 1am. Very helpful for families as you can heat up baby's milk etc on the stove/microwave and sink to rinse dishes after eating. There was a slightly flimsy chair which my 2yo daughter fell over on but she should not have been climbing on it. But just shows, they don't quite think of everything so don't expect this to be a four star experience. If your expectation is set accordingly, you will find this a valuable stay.
“Wishing they would clean the bed during stay.”
The staff was friendly, most of the hotel was quiet, except for some kids running in the hallway around 10 p.m. at night. Then in the middle of the night, some smell of nail polish came out of no were and would not leave for around 3 hours. My boyfriend who is a carpenter recognized the smell as a paint that they use in the bathroom. So they were painting, the smell was too strong and it made us want to leave the room. I even gave my boyfriend a splitting headache cause it was that strong. So imagine, there went my night...lol. I rented the king suite, I didn't know that they don't come in to clean the room if you rent the room with a kitchen. I came back to find the bed undone....I didn't expect that at all prior to booking.if you are renting the suite with kitchens, be prepare to bring your own pots and pans and a plate or two. They don't supply them at all. I've been to places that have a small kitchen and they provided the pots and pans.....this place doesn't do that. So, I guess prior to booking there should be some slight warning that kitchen is not equipped to help you prepare your meals. Would I stay here again, only if I really needed to, but I would have preferred that they clean at least the beds and give us new towels. To be fair, they have a little notice stating that if you want an additional towel to go seek out the front desk and request one. On the positive note, they have free wifi and do have parking around the back of the building.
“Great location for Jets game”
Don't expect anything other than a nights sleep. We stayed here to be close to the Jets game. Parking was $30.00, we had to walk next door to the Sheraton to catch the shuttle to the stadium which was $5.00 each way. The stadium is across the highway but its a business 6 lane dangerous road. The hotel doesn't offer any thing extra.
“No no no”
So hard to get too! On top of being impossible to get to unless youre from the area, the hotel cant be located on a map. Staff was not at desk and the lights were off. The bed was uncomfortable. The room smelled like smoke. Lights were broken in room. Old vending machines.
“Not Impressed”
Getting to the hotel entrance is hard, it says its on Route 3 but its actually on the service road and you can not enter from Route 3. There were large holes in the carpet, mold aroind the tub, dingy towels. Room was not very clean at all upon arrival. I am an engineer for Marriott so I know what hotel rooms should look like. I would not stay here again.
“Missing Items”
We arrived to find that the room was missing quite a few items. It was a smoking room but there were no ashtrays. There was coffee but only one mug. There was no sugar or cream. There was no shampoo or conditioner. I had to go to the desk and ask for all these items. We were told by the desk clerk that we could walk to the IZOD center over the bridge. When we walked down there, there was no way to do this safely. We ended up driving over (which cost me parking). The original reason for booking this hotel was the distance from IZOD. I was informed it was walking distance. Although this was true, there is no way to safely walk there. All-in-all the hotel staff took care of our needs but the room should have had the necessary items prior to our arrival.
“No amenities”
I was very surprised for a chain of this stature that the amenities would be so poor. There was no shampoo in the rooms. I had to go back down to the front desk to pay for internet. There was no fitness room. No breakfast or even a place to walk for breakfast since they are along a very busy highway and nothing else around. I suppose I take all of this for granted as a business traveler and thought this chain kept up with the rest. But, I was clearly wrong.
