“Very good airport hotel”

For what it is, a relatively inexpensive airport hotel, I was totally satisfied.

“Newark”

Modern hotel very close to airport with handy shuttle service. Surrounding area appears to be industrial so no real reason to leave the airport

“Worth the Stay”

This hotel may confuse you at first in finding it, but it's worth the find. I've stayed here twice and both experiences have been great. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

“Nice Suites”

We stayed here one night with our 2 year old daughter. We had booked a suite, which was not disappointing. Despite proximity to airport, it was not noisy. The room was clean, furniture and bathroom looked relatively new. We were particularly impressed with the size. The bed room (with desk) was very spacious.

“"Awesome state of the art hotel"”

Room was awesome and just as pictured on the website. The staff was very friendly and available whenever needed. The shuttles to and from the airport were great and always available. The drivers of the shuttles were also very nice. I did not eat at the restaurant, so I cannot rate the food. I would book here again in the future and refer friends and family as well. Great hotel!!!

“Very nice hotel with great service!”

I am so happy I stayed at this hotel! After spending a couple days in NYC, we had a flight out of Newark yesterday morning. Getting to this hotel was so incredibly easy, from NYC. We took the NJ train from Penn Station to the Newark International Airport stop, which was only $12.50 a person and only took about 20 minutes or so. The train stops right at the airport monorail, and the first stop is where the hotels have their 'courtesy shuttles' pick up. Right when we got there, the Holiday Inn Shuttle was sitting right there! Easy! The hotel staff was great, super friendly, ask us when we flew out the next morning and said that the shuttles left 'on demand', when the customers need them, so he recommended we be down there by 3:45am. The next morning this really nice guy drove just my sister and I in the shuttle to the monorail, no problems at all! He asked us what airline we were flying (we were flying different airlines) and he knew exactly what stops we needed to get off on. The rooms were clean, nice and modern. We weren't starving, so we just ordered small snacks through room service and the food was great. We looked at the menu for the restaurant in the hotel (same as room service) and they had a big selection of food, which is nice, since there really isn't any place to go once you get to the hotel. They had a ton of computers in the lobby for the hotels customers to use (free WIFI in the rooms too). Our one night stay was wonderful and I'd definitely stay there again!

“Fantastic beds!”

After a long,14 hour trip,the one thing on our minds was sleep! Luckily,the beds were so comfy that we were able to catch some needed rest. The rest of the amenities were fine for us also also. It was clean with a larger flat screen TV and room darkening shade.Also, the sink outside of the bathroom allowed us to get ready at the same time,more or less. In the AM we purchased a more than adequate buffet breakfast(full menu also)and we tanked up for the day before another flight. I checked email at one of several computers in the lobby, then we headed for the airport via their complimentary shuttle which left every few minutes...no reserving needed. This Holiday Inn was great for what is needed by the majority of people with a one night stop near the airport.

“Nice Surprise for the Money!”

We could not have been more pleasantly surprised! We stayed before flying out of Newark early in the am. Every staff member was friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was very well appointed, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We all really enjoyed the attention to modern electronics from the flat screen to the multiple charging ports and iphone station. The only issue we had was finding it via our GPS, not easy, but that would most likely have been the case with any of the hotels in the area. One suggestion, leave early for the shuttle. It takes longer then you would think to get to the airport, no fault of the hotel, it is the highways and train system.

“Pleasantly surprised”

We were pleasantly shocked to see how updated, crisp and clean this HI is today. It really made a difference in how well we rested in between our flights. We ate at the small restaurant in the lobby, and though the menu is not extensive, the place is also clean, crisp and updated, and the people working were welcoming.

“Five star room at two star price!!!”

I was a little worried about what the armed guard was for inside the gated fence. Once inside my jaw dropped! Beautifully decorated! Brand new renovation. Full gym, free computers and internet, restaurant bar with great prices! Free airport shuttle 24/7 every 15 minutes. Manhattan is just a train ride away. If you want to stay in luxury and see New York and don't mind a half hour commute in stay here!!! The only drawback is that the surrounding area is drab and dated, This is a deal of deals I would come back in a heartbeat!!
