“Liked it”
great hotel, in Brooklyn area. Very polite and smiling staff. Very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was not very fast and reliable, but you can' have everything. Would stay again.
“The Place to Stay in Brooklyn”
This hotel is in the perfect location. A two minute walk to 5th Avenue shops and restaurants. A seven minute walk to the Atlantic Ave subway to get to Manhattan. The staff is friendly and accomodating. We felt safe parking our car on the street, for free, because the hotel is really the only business on that street. This is the place to stay in Brooklyn for the price and location. We always stay here when we plan a trip to the city.
“Will stay at this hotel again. Very friendly and helpfull staff.”
Only complaint: room was small but we hardly spent any time at the hotel anyway. Great value for my money. This hotel has all the basic things that we needed for our stay in NY city. It was close to our relative's house in Brooklyn, very clean, helpful staff, easly to find, near the subway train and complimentary breakfast. I will stay at this hotel again the next time we are in NY.

Very impressed with location and staff.
“Great Place and Location, decent value for Carrol Gardens area”
My friend lives in Carrol Gardens Brooklyn and I was able to walk to his place in about 10 minutes from this hotel, as well as all the bars on Smith Street. The hotel itself is everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express. I liked that they turned the AC on and the room was nice and chilly when I arrived in it. If I had one complaint (and this is not the Hotel's fault) it is this: I walk everywhere when I visit NYC. During the day I never felt any discomfort walking to or from my hotel, but as I was walking back at 4am I was a little uncomfortable for 2 blocks through a section of Butler Street that's completely abandoned warehouses. Maybe this is the blame of the Google Maps app on my phone, whose walking route feature led me through there. Anyhow I would recommend this hotel to anyone who makes less that 60K/year who needs to stay near the Carrol Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. I'd also recommend the cabs, they're much cheaper in NYC than they are in my hometown of Rochester, NY - I'll cab it through the dodgy neighborhood on my next visit when I stay here.
“Very nice for the price.”
Very clean, people friendly and helpful, breakfast very good. Parked on street with no problems. Just read signs carefully to avoid a ticket. Would definitely go back there again.
“I will definitely go back”
The Express is very easy to get to, convenient and spotless, with parking. Priced right and an easy back and forth to Manhattan for me. Very nice , friendly staff and good breakfast. All at a good price.
“Good hotel for travellers interseted in city discovering”
Last minute reservation - everything went perfect, just click through these pages - expedia. Locality was ok, 10-15 min walk to Subway stations. Excelent place for travel to down and to airport. Little bit loudy room in the first floor ( hotel personal has on the same floor service room + there is breakfast place). Good breakfast included.
“Great Value”
Very clean, wonderful staff, quality breakfast, priced right! Neighborhood is industrial, but great restaurants only a few blocks away.
“Perfect for us”
I stayed in this hotel with a friend for my NYC bachelorette party. We were greeted with a smile and an extremely courteous staff. Our room was definitely small, but it was clean, no bed bugs (we checked first thing!), the beds were very comfortable, and the TV had HBO. I wasn't expecting much for the continental breakfast so I was very surprised to see a nice spread - cheese omelettes, biscuits, sausage, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice, bagels... plenty to choose from! The area is not AWESOME, but it's just a few blocks walking distance to a really cute Brooklyn neighborhood with shopping and restaurants. I never felt threatened or unsafe. I would definitely stay here again!
