“Good location far from the crowd”
Friendly staff very efficient. Some noise due to Friday and Saturday night dance activity. A comfortable hotel reasonably priced and a good choice to enjoy going to NYC by ferry boat .
“clean and comforable.”
Was very convenient to all locations, hotel staff was very helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and clean...
“Made very welcome”
Very nice modern hotel.Reception staff were excellent.Buffet breakfast very good. Hotel operates shuttle to and from Airport,Cruise terminal and Staten Island Ferry but reservations have to be made in advance. This can be difficult particularly, for example, when returning on the Staten Island Ferry because you do not have exact timing. Without these shuttles it is very difficult to go anywhere on Staten Island , taxis seem to be almost non-existent and if you do manage to find one they are expensive. The hotel is excellent for short/overnight stays and is much better value than staying in Manhattan.
“Nice place”
I was only at this hotel for one night, but I was very pleased with the hotel itself and the few service staff I ran into. I would absolutely stay there again.
“Would stay again, for sure!”
Well, it is Staten Island - so there is not much around here anyway and the same goes for the location of this hotel. However, everything you can possibly need is provided in this great establishment. I will be returning to Staten Island in a few months and will definitely be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn again.
“Lovely hotel and a wonderful welcome”
We stayed at this hotel in Dec 2011 as it was far more reasonable than hotels in Manhattan. Our group consisted of myself, my husband, and another couple. The purpose of our trip was sightseeing. We caught a taxi from Newark airport to the hotel but we used the free shuttle bus everyday to and from the Staten Island ferry. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, particularly Patricia on the front desk. As it was December, there were Christmas parties and functions every evening but it only made for a happy and friendly atmosphere. Our room was on the third floor so we didn't hear any noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a base for exploring the New York area.
“Happy, but Hungry in the morning.”
Had a great stay, just wish some kind of breakfast was offered.
“Hilton”
Hotel room was in good condition and comfortable. Staff were confused and disorganized. The hotel was under construction and promptly at 8:00am you could hear the construction work begin.
“One night stand for business”
Hotel was basically OK. All appearances were a bit old and a bit depressing, yet staff was very nice, food in the on site restaurant was quite good, bed was of good quality. One objection was no room service for breakfast. It is difficult to find and is not on the street of the address but rather when you come to where you think it is by the numbers you have to make a right turn at the next corner and there is a sign for the hotel through a back road.
“worked out fine for us”
nice place pool very small friendly help easy to find
