“Will come here again”

The Hyatt was truly outstanding in virtually every aspect. Front desk, cleanliness, helpful staff, neighborhood - all were fantastic. The room was beautiful, staff were very polite and helpful. I live in Brooklyn and reserved it for my mother, who loved it, and made a note that she wanted to stay there again. Just a side note as an NYC resident: they have a team of gentlemen outside who grab taxis for you. But many of the taxis are private and overpriced - one set us up for a $45 taxi ride to LaGuardia (which is a $25 trip). When I asked for a yellow cab, he put us in one - that was private and had its meter off. My guess is that the private taxi guys tip the bellmen for getting them business. Grab your own yellow NYC taxi - with meter - if you can. By no means is this a detriment to the hotel - just something to be aware of. The overall experience was fantastic.

“Terrific Spot!”

We loved the hotel. The room was spacious, which you don't always get in NYC. It looked to be a wheelchair accessible room, which could be the reason for the spaciousness. The room was very clean and well-appointed. It looks as if our guest room was recently redecorated. One complaint.......as we were packing up to leave we heard very loud voices in the hallway. I peeked out and saw nobody, but still heard the voices quite loudly. As we left, we discovered the source of the loudness ---- it was the room cleaners. They were laughing, joking, at the top of their lungs. This was at 10 a.m. on a Sunday. They were quite a ways away from our room, and I could only imagine how loud they must have sounded to the people trying to sleep in the rooms next to them. It was two men and one woman. Overall, though, we loved this hotel and would stay again.

“Comfort in the heart of NYC”

The hotel is conveniently beside Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Bldg. Very friendly staff greeted me at check-in with a complimentary room upgrade and certificates for free coffee at the nearby market. I was in town for business but had a couple of hours to walk around, so I chose to check out the many neat stores over at Grand Central. Had dinner at the Capital Grill within a block walking distance, and could not have had a better experience. The room was clean and modern with standard amenities. Elevators are quick, and the lobby was sleek and made for great lounging and people watching. Doorman was quick to find a taxi for me to the airport upon checkout. Taxi to LaGuardia runs about $30.

“Very good hotel in NYC”

Although there were issues in the unit regarding the air conditioning and the way it blew air, the hotel was very good. The club on the 16th floor is excellent and a great place to relax and unwind. They have excellent food and service and are great people. This hotel is excellent. It has had a recent renovation that is a good makeover.

“Best Location in NYC”

We love the convenience of the location. It is very easy to find transportation and close walking distance to Times Square, 5th Ave, and Rockefeller Center. This is the second Thanksgiving week we have spent there and this time was even better than last. The rooms on the 30th floor had been renovated. They are beautiful and very comfortable. Looking forward to going back!

Hotel vraiment bien situé,(collé à Grand Central).A 5mn de times square,de l'Empire,10 mn de Top of the Rock.(A pieds bien sur!) Quartier paisible. Les navettes pour les aeroports ont un arret juste devant. Personnel accueillant et chaleureux. Et le petit +:Nous avions reservé une chambre avec 2 lits doubles et arrivés là-bas ils nous ont proposé un lit king size!

“A great hotel at a great price for NYC.”

Our room was completely remodeled very recently. Flat screen tv, reading lights by the bed, comfortable double-size beds. We we very pleased.

My stay a the Hyatt was great. Friendly and helpful staff convienant for shopping and the shows in broadway. my only reason for not giving a 5 for cleanlness their was some dust on the floors it just needed a vacume run over it. Other than that towels and bedding spotless and changed daily, upgrade to king size room . I would recomend this hotel to my friends and family. Great Stay looking forward to coming back.

“Close to excellent”

Rooms are on the small side but well furnished. Liked the touch screen lights and temp control. Housekeeping was excellent. I have to agree with other reviews - bathroom design is baffling and does not work well. Location excellent and every staff member I dealt with was very helpful
