“A Wonderful Visit”
The Four Seasons is everything you expect it to be and more. It's elegant without being pretentious, the staff are attentive without being surly or overbearing and the rooms are large and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. And if there is anything you do need, a call to the front desk ensures that you have it within a few moments. We stayed in a City View room on the 47th floor and the view was magnificent; you really feel as though the whole of New York is at your feet. And it is, the Four Seasons is ideally located and the doormen at either of its entrances are happy to hail a cab if you need to stray further than 5th Ave, which is just a short stroll away. I rarely leave such glowing reviews but I honestly cannot fault the Four Seasons. We had a truly wonderful stay; such a special way to ring in 2010!
“Elegance at a great price!”
I chose the Four Seasons because other reviewers had mentioned that the rooms were large. We had a king size bed, but needed a roll-away bed for our son. The room was HUGE! In NY City, that is rare! We had a beautiful view out of our 22nd floor window, a large sitting area, and an enormous bathroom and dressing area. Plenty of space! There was a plate of cookies and a jug of milk waiting for us when we arrived. After a 5 hour delay in our travels, that was a welcome surprise. We got 2 free glasses of champagne and caviar with our room, as well. It did take 4 calls to finally get the roll-away bed, even though I had called for it in advance of our arrival. Nonetheless, I would go back to stay at the Four Seasons in a heartbeat. Great location, friendly & helpful staff, and a beautiful hotel at a great price!
“Counting the days until we can go back!!”
Enjoyed the trip tremendously! The hotel was exceptional and the service was wonderful. The location was great. Just a few blocks from Central Park and high-end shopping. Can't wait to return!!
“The "one" in New York”
The hotel is perfect!!! You need to stay to feel. We loved!!!! Hope back in the next year!!
“Pleased”
Rooms are great size for New York and bathrooms are large as well. The location is perfect, you aren't right on the crowds of 5th Ave, so is it calmer but still provides easy access to everything. We experienced rude service three times at the reception desk (which was basically every time we stopped by it) and it took incredibly too long for our luggage to be collected on two separate occasions, but besides these two services, everything was wonderful.
“Outstanding Stay - Will return”
I find myself in NY at least 2 times a year. It's a destination where I am far enough from home where I can't be reached easily and close enough where I can hop a direct flight. For many years I've been staying at Essex House. The opportunity came and we celebrated our honeymoon at the Four Seasons. Where do I start! The hotel has a grand, quiet elegance the minute you enter the lobby. The hotel staff is top of their field and the location is excellent. The rooms are large, very clean, classic modern without being over done. The bathrooms are 'huge' and perfect. I know this may sound odd to some of you...but the water pressure is outstanding! The bath tub fills up in something ridiculous ...2 minutes!! (I need to speak to engineering about how they did this..need to add this feature to my next house build). There is a REAL walk-in closet.....in some NY hotels this would be a room!?! And ladies.....the lighting...the most amazing lighting I've ever encountered...made me want to walk around in the nik....I didn't cringe every time I passed a mirror!! I really can't say enough about the hotel, the staff, the cleanliness and the general aura of the hotel. One leaves the hustle of the city outside the doors of the hotel to experience a relaxed, elegant and yet simple atmosphere. The room service is excellent, the food perfect....I highly recommend.
“This IS NYC's best”
I wanted to do something very special for my boyfriends birthday, so I booked a 3 night stay at The Four Seasons. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was HUGE- the bathroom was incredible along with the walk-in closet. The bed is absolutely divine and I slept like a baby because there was virtually no noise to speak of. This place is a splurge, but well worth it. I'm sure I will visit NYC again & I really don't want to stay anywhere else but The Four Seasons. Caution: you WILL be spoiled here! By the way, my boyfriend thought I was so wonderful to take him here, he proposed to me on our last night in the city! Crazy I know- but I guess that's what The Four Seasons will do to you.
“Fantastic Hotel”
Everything about the hotel was fab, I would have no hesitation in going back there to stay, highly recommended. Location of the hotel is very good, staff are wonderful, the room had a great view. The room was very comfortable, bathroom was to die for and we had a seperate dressing room. The only thing missing was tea making facilities but I guess they want to encourage room service. The only thing I would make a negative comment on is we asked for help from the consierge to book our shuttle bus the day before we left, however, we were told that they do not do that, but they could arrange a car for us to be picked up and taken to the airport for $190 we declined this service and muddled on.
“Consistently Excellent”
We've stayed in Four Seasons on three continents and have never, not once, had a bad experience. The New York property is understated elegance at it's finest. Restaurants, Lobby Bar, Room Service, Concierge, everything was superb and the rooms with a terrace on the 16th floor will be amazing in the Spring, we intend to come back and try it. Unfortunately on this trip it snowed 10 inches and was freezing but we could have made a snow man on our terrace! I bet if we'd asked Room Service would have made one for us.
“Four Seasons Perfection”
I'm a very experienced world traveler. My adult daughter and I recently stayed at the Four Seasons New York on a mini-vacation - theater and a Yankees - Red Sox game. We can truly say that we have never had a better experience with a hotel. Reception, conceirge, room quality, room service, turndown and cleaning services, and overall ambience were all 5 star. The exquisite L'Atelier restaurant exceeded our very high expectations. Hard to imagine that one can find a better hotel experience in Manhattan.
