The striking, modern Conrad New York features walls of glass with river views and a 15-story atrium lobby. Some 30,000 square feet of flexible event space includes 18 adjustable meeting rooms and 2 ballrooms, the largest of which can hold 550 people. All meeting and event facilities are outfitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and catering is available on request. High-speed Internet access is available in the business center (surcharge).
The open kitchen of the on-site restaurant, Atrio, is visible from the lobby atrium. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Atrio offers a contemporary Mediterranean dining experience. Guests can relax in the hotel's bar/lounge and room service is also available. Additionally, the pet-friendly Conrad New York features a concierge desk, currency exchange, laundry services, and a multilingual staff.

“Step into the future.”
This place is a knockout visual feast. The staff had great attitudes. I did not want to leave.
“Love this hotel”
The hotel staff did not disappoint me whatsoever. From the moment the cab dropped us off at the door to the minute we left, we have nothing but great service from EVERY hotel staff member.
“I'll stay here again”
The hotel has only been open a couple of weeks so there were some minor kinks but extremely minor. Technologically, it was the nicest hotel I've stayed at. Convenient to WTC and a nearby mall.

The Conrad Hotel (formerly the Embassy Suites) is brand new and opened in March 2012. It is modern, airy, quiet, comfortable, stylish, and very moderately priced for what you get. I stayed there Thursday and Friday night in May 2012. It had everything I wanted. The front desk and bell desk staff are professional, helpful, and courteous. Take the A-train from JFK (exit Chambers St)and save a bundle on taxi fare. Or take Path from EWR and the WTC stop is just a few blocks away. Pros: Quiet (no bus lines nearby), no sirens, honking horns, modern, very clean. All rooms are suites. Plush bedding, large showers, 2 flat screen TVs in room. Whole Foods Market is nearby. View of Hudson River from the hotel. Cons: Closest subway stop is a few blocks away at WTC or Chambers Street. Not much going on right around the hotel, so if you're looking for a bustling mid-town style vibe, it's not here. Mostly office buildings around here.

The two doormen were excellent very eager to help with luggage or getting you a taxi or airport transport when you more luggage than a taxi will hold

Roof top bat still not open despite promises it would be and can you believe wifi is extra !
“Good hotel, but need to improve”
My room was not cleaned up the first night. A couple of cable channels were not available.
