“A Good Budget Hotel”

Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and just a block or two waya on the same street was an excellent (and cheap!) Chinese restaurant- the best food we ate in all of our NY stay. Close to subway to Grand Central-- all in all a great place to stay.

We were very pleased we all aspects of the hotel and especially the hotel staff. They were very attentive to any needs or requests we had. It was only a short walk to the subway line to Manhattan. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were a bit smaller but I think thats how it is most places. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only problem was parking, there was street parking but not very much, there were a few parking places around. Was about a block and a half from the subway station. Overall was great for the price.

The staff was courteous and competent. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the continental breakfast was more than adequate to fuel up for the morning including, waffles, cereal, and fruit. Parking is just a half a block away and $15 for 24 hours. A very nice place to rest at one of the lower price points in the NY area from what I could find.

“Good Location for Shea Stadium Visit”

Hotel is clean and comfortable and the owner and his staff were extremely helpful with dinner suggestions and travel directions. The hotel has no parking. One needs to find a spot on the hotel street. We parked about 50 yards from the hotel entrance and were able to leave our car for three days at no charge, as the parking was not metered. There was also a parking lot that charged by the hour or day that was only another 50 yards down the street at an intersection.

I wasn't sure what we'd be getting in a Flushing hotel, but the price was reasonable and it was close to Shea Stadium, where we were headed for a Mets game, so I decided to take a chance. The hotel is five blocks from the Flushing Main St. subway station, an easy walk through what I would call a bustling International District (clocks in the hotel showed New York and Taipei times). The hotel itself is on a quiet street and is walking distance (over the Roosevelt Ave. bridge) to Shea. The room was clean and felt new, and at night it was quiet. The continental breakfast was quite good. The hotel staff was, by New York standards, extremely friendly. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
