“Lasik Surgery”

Went in for Lasik surgery and needed a close hotel for the evening of the procedure. This hotel was a block away and very reasonably priced. Was very pleased and the only comment would be the room was a bit small but not really an issue.

“Great escape for Marathon Weekend!”

The Carvi is a lovely gem on 55th. The rooms were immaculate nad very comfortable. Lots of places to eat and shop in the immediate area. Grear deli right across that street that delivers! I ENTHUSIASTICALLY ENDORSE THE CARVI!

“Don't let the size fool you.”

This was our second stay at the Carvi and for a small hotel, they deliver big service. We go to visit our daughter who is staying at a dorm just down the street, so the location is wonderful. The rooms are compact but clean. Not much of a view from our room but they have a wonderful deck on the roof for your convenience. Located in the middle of the block so you could go either direction to catch a taxi on one of the avenues. Overall a good experience.

“Like It Very Much”

My original room had a defective heating system - #703. They attempted to fix it once and the second time moved me to a different room #701. I like the first room better...the second room was a little run down but still very clean. Everyone was most helpful. The location was good...within walking distance of the show district and shopping. Will definitely consider Carvi next time I'm in the City.

“Hidden Gem”

This was quite a find on the east side of manhattan for the price. The room was spotless and the whole place looks like it recently was totally rennovated. Marble bathroom, great shower and very comfortable bed. It can be hard to find as the sign outside is small and it is located in the middle of the block. Close to lots of attractions thou I was there to get a consultation at Sloan Kettering Hospital which is within walking distance.

Very friendly, very clean, excellent position. 100% recommended.

“Convenient but a little noisy (in the hotel)”

Our room was a good size but on the lower ground floor (no views) and very close to the lobby so we disturbed a couple of times by noise from front desk. The ventilation system was also very noisy - I think the main chiller was outside our room. However, the hotel is in a great location being a short walk to Bloomingdales and a few more blocks to Central Park.

It was a nice little hotel in a good location. There wasn't anything spectacular about it but we would go back.

“Comfy and Cozy in The Big City”

While we were a bit disappointed with the patched up holes in the wall in the room and bathroom, the room was clean, and comfy. The staff were very friendly. They held our bags in storage the next day, while my husband had surgery at a local hospital, and allowed me to pick them up on our way out of NYC. We were given a 10% discount to the Midtown Diner across the street and we were pleasantly surprised! We were tired and it was so convenient.
