“A Hidden Gem in Brooklyn!”
I often travel to NY for business and usually stay in Manhattan. This trip I had business in Brooklyn and need a hotel close by. One of my co-workers referred me to this hotel and her review of the hotel was accurate. It is a really nice (Manhattan Quality) hotel! It is close to the Long Island Railway along with other Metro Stations. There is limited parking in back along with ample street parking. The neighborhood is typical New York with lots of options nearby for food. The staff was warm, friendly and welcoming and during check-in asked me to let them know if I would like a courtesy late check-out. The hotel is still in like new condition with a nice lobby and breakfast area. The hotel rooms are standard NY size (small but not tiny;) and well equipped with a large flat screen TV (40ish inch), microwave and fridge. It was nice to find two bottles of water in the fridge. Also, the shower has wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and bath gel dispensers (nice if you packed light; and it’s the good stuff!). The towels, wash cloths and bedding are clean, thick and of nice quality. In short, this hotel has all the things that make a frequent business travelers life easier! I am looking forward to my next stay here!
“Good Reviews are accurate”
I booked this hotel soley based on the reviews since I needed something near Crown Heights for apt hunting. The hotel was just great, with even the little extra touches that I like - bathrobes, stationary, notepad, iron, hairdryer already in the room. Awesome fine hotel quality bedding and helpful staff. Yes, the neighborhood can look a bit threatening but I agree with others, even walking back from the subway after the theater at 11 pm, I did not feel uncomfortable at any time.
“No parking available”
I was very impressed staying at the Best Western in Brooklyn NY. Staff was nice and friendly, but did not understand why there was only 7 parking space available and you had to pay for parking. Why was this not included in the overall cost. Rooms were small for a double room.
“Everything you need and a little more....”
The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The room was a little small but very clean and efficient. Having a microwave and refrigerator was great for leftover meals. Pleasantly surprised with the robe and slippers made available in room. I was in New York a month prior to this trip and paid more for a large chain hotel that had no refrigerator, no microwave, you had to pay for wifi, and definitely no breakfast. This was definitely a better value for your money.
“A Nice Place To Stay”
Nice King size bed with large flat screen with fridge, we like it because we were on a budget, nothing bad to say only positive! Keep up the good work! I would come back.
“Avoid this hotel”
This hotel may be reasonable for NYC hotel and as it was new, facility was quite decent. However nothing was mentioned that the location of the hotel is almost next to the railway track, just across the road. If someone stays in NYC nighting out and coming back to hotel in the morning, it would be ok place, but if you are looking for decent sleep over night, this is the last place to stay. Also the location is a sort of sketchy area, it is not recommended to walk around at night for a woman on her own. Also I am not happy with manager and receptionist as they did not explain they would hold deposit in case of any incident. So I was startled when I checked my bank account. I truly regret to have chosen this hotel. I should have paid more and stayed at somewhere I can stay comfortably.
