“Great Deal for a Nice Hotel”
It was snowing that day so it was a little hard to find the hotel first, but turns out it is right next to the subway! Great location and very good deal :) We loved it! The rooms were very nice and we had a pleasant and fun stay! Breakfast was also included for that price so that was nice. It wasn't great but the bagels were good :) All in all, we were very satisfied with the location (very close to the city on the subway too), the rooms, and the price! Great hotel to just stay a night in the city and hang out with friends for a good deal!

“"Bang for the Bucks"”
The overall price we paid for the plane tickets and hotel was worth it. I had nor complaints about the hotel. Actually it was more than I expected (considering the neighborhood). I will recommend this hotel to those who doesn't mind a cultural change outside their norm. But for those who live a "Lifestyle of the Rich" would most likely not be pleased.
“Cant wait to go back”
This is our second stay at best western and we have had a great time. Clean facilities, easy subway access, friendly staff and they offer airport shuttle at a reasonable price. :)
“Great Value in LIC”
Hotel is pretty new so the facilities are of better quality than comparable hotels. Great location - easy subway ride to Manhattan via the F and access to multiple train lines.
“Good value, though location iffy”
The room quality and service provided by the staff was definitely worth the rate I'd paid, and the close location of the hotel to all the major attractions is a great advantage. The only issue was the neighbourhood. During my stay there were a number of youths hanging around the entrance to the subway for no apparent reason, aside from assisting a female in selling drugs. I have a feeling this location is changing from being a dodgy zone to a more normal one, and I had no problems when returning home in the wee hours of the morning. Probably past the bedtime of the gang bangers.
“The Best of the Best of the Best Western. Long Island City.”
We were on the 10th floor with a view of Manhatten,this was obviously a good start as we had come to see New York as well as shop in Manhatten. The term Kingsize bed definitely means that, large, at least 6 ft wide. Everything about our stay was top rate, the room was a good size,clean & tidy. The bathroom also was clean and fresh with all the toiletries and towels you need. Breakfast was always ample in supply of Tea,Coffee,Toast,Bagels,Juice and Cereal. although the seating was sometimes a bit busy we always managed to get a seat, and as it was all you can eat this was a good start to each day. For a good quality Hotel outside Manhatten this is an excellent choice, and only 2 stops on the Subway to the top end of Manhatten.
“Great for Price”
You really can't beat the price on this place. It's 2 subway stops away from mid-town Manhattan on the F train and the 7 isn't that far of a walk either. The surrounding area may look rough but if you are at all familiar with city life you will easily recognize that gentrification is moving in (look at the high-rise construction 3 blocks to the east). It's also worth noting that while some people may feel out of their comfort zone in such an environment Long Island City is a very low crime area. You can't do much better for the price and my wife and I were thrilled with the overall experience. We used the subways for all travel purposes, it was a great trip to NYC and a joy to not worry about a car.
“Great stay”
it was not what i thought. the hotel was very nice and looked just like the pics. the lobby was nice the people was friendly. the breakfast was a NY breakfast. if you are on the go then it was perfect. i would stay there again. i am glad i did not listen to all the reviews. it was a decent area to me and Quiet
“Great night's sleep”
Was a clean and well maintained hotel with a subway just down the street which took you into Manhattan in 2 stops. The room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
