“Worth the price”
Well worth the price. A little off the beaten path but beds were comfortable and room was clean.
“Better than expected”
The cheap price that I paid suggested a hotel at the lower end of the NY scale, but I was most pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the reception staff. I recommend this hotel, within walking distance of the Port Authority bus station to all visitors on a tight budget who require a comfortable and clean room.
“Great Hotel”
Great
“tres bon hotel”
accueil correct sans plus mais chambre tres confortable avec litterie excellente, internet gratuit sur un pc au hall de l'hotel et le tout a 10 minutes a pied de times square
“Next time I am in Manhattan, I am sure going to try to get back to this hotel!”
This hotel was like a treasure find for my partner and I. It was within walking distance of all the places we were attending during our stay. The parking lot closest to the hotel was very nice and easy to deal with (and let's not forget inexpensive, for NYC) The rooms were a bit on the small side, but we werent planning on spending much time at the hotel, so all we really needed was a comfortable clean room with a nice bed, and we got that. The rooms were quiet, as were the hallways. The continental breakfast in the morning was very nice and generous. All the staff was very pleasant and attentive. I will most definitely go back to this hotel.
“Very satisfied.”
There was only one complaint and that had nothing to do with the hotel itself. For us it was in the wrong location. Since we had to rely on subway and bus transport, it was just a little too far to walk to them since my friend and I are both seniors. It is certainly not a luxuious hotel, but our beds were changed every day and the room and bathroom thouroughly cleaned. The breakfast was satisfactory and one certainly did not have to walk away hungry. Thge staff was very friendly and helpful.
“A good deal!”
Off the beaten path, but a bargain and great staff, too.
“très bon hôtel, bien situé”
personnel chaleureux, présent et très disponible chambre très propres, silencieuses mais un peu petite touristes de tous les pays
“cheap, cheerful, did the job”
This hotel is basic, rooms are ample for the time you spend in them, daily maid service, front desk was helpful. Free breakfast was fine, variety of pastries, cereals tea, coffee etc. A 10 min walk to times square, once you get used to the layout of the streets you can cut through easily, it is on a quieter street, but we felt safe even at 1.30am. Taxi's are everywhere, costs vary, but it we never paid more than $10 from uptown to downtown, subways are also easy to work out, save your legs. We tried to do as much as we could, top of the rock, grand central, statue of liberty etc., we also got tickets for woodbury common from expedia, well worth it spent a fortune, but also saved a fortune, all the best stores at discount prices, about an hour from manhattan. Eating out was again great, lots of choice, but check menus, because some places are expensive, depending on exchange rate when you go. We went to see Catch me if you can on broadway, brill, bought tickets from the box office, we paid $62 each, there are so many to choose from, you can buy on the day. We also watched a comedy show , we bought tickets from a street seller, but after getting him down to $10 each, from $15 each we discovered it was $10 on the door!!!!, so beware, apart from that the show was very funny, 6 comics with varied material, 2 drink minimum off set menu, drinks were $11 or $10 each. Overall NY is a great city to visit, wear comfy shoes, budget your money, and take your credit card just incase!!
“Would stay here again if in New York”
This was our first visit to New York, we enjoyed our stay at Best Western, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the size of the bed. The breakfast was varied enough to fill you up till lunch time. The only downside we found was the sounds of the locomotive horns on the nearby railway.
