“FANTASTIC HOTEL”
excellent hotel conveniently situated for skytrain to vancouver.
“Really good place to stay.”
I needed a cheap hotel for my business trip for Vancouver. Since the Met is right beside a skytrain station, I thought I would give it a try. The rooms were pretty clean, had a comfortable bed and the size was way biger than I expected. The room had a desk so I did not end up having to find a Starbucks to get my work done. Went to the Met pub too for dinner. The food is better than any pub food I have had in a while. Front desk lady seemed nice too. I will probably stay their again for my next trip to BC.
“Comfort plus beds, luxury towels, Highly recommended”
Enjoyed our stay at the friendly Met hotel, Columbia skytrain station a few metres away!Extremely lovely receptionist, helpful. Room large, spotless, best bed we have ever slept in ,anywhere in the world(on world trip)beats our own at home even!Shower great, thick towels.Clean, comfortable.Bonus of free coffee and muffins on the second floor level.Reasonable rates for accommodation. Thank you from an elderly married couple from Australia.
“Old Style Hotel Charm”
Parking is a little akward neiborhood is ok Husband wife owner/management who care..and it shows
“Lovely old hotel”
Lovely old hotel, it looks like it may have been renovated recently. The room was clean and comfortable, the decor suited the era of the hotel. We did not go outside in the evening so could not comment on how safe it may be. We did walk around the area during the day and had no problem. We had to park on the street for the night,...no problems.
“Highly recommendable”
We actually booked this through the hidden hotels feature and were a bit disappointed that it was the furthest possible location from Vancouver (which was where we wanted to spend most of our time). However the price point was great and the hotel was fabulous. Comfy beds, clean and convenient to the sky train, which we used often. Only set back was having to ask for ice instead of using an ice machine, but in all seriousness that's a minor issue at best. Neighboring room got a little loud, but not unbearable at all and the front desk people were always very polite and helpful. All in all -- I would total recommend it and would book again.
“friendly hotel”
This Met Hotel is located 20min. away from Downtown Vancouver. Yet, the train comes in every2-3min., and there are interesting places to stop by and see within these stations. The hotel is located right next to the station, and there are lots of restaurants around. A nice quiet area to have a wonderful stay in Vancouver.
“Best inexpensive Victorian style hotel in New West Minster”
I would suggest this hotel to anyone traveling in the Burnaby,Coquitlam,West Minster area. Not far away from Stanley Park and located in the middle of downtown with plenty shopping ,restaurants snd markets to choose from!
“More than acceptable”
This hotel is a small, older, 4 story hotel which has been renovated and redecorated. It is situated on a main street in New Westminster and is right across the street from the Skytrain. The service is very good. The morning breakfast (muffins, bagels, dry cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit) is fresh and filling. The rooms are reasonably spacious and well enough appointed. The only thing I could suggest is the addition of a small refrigerator. Things appear fresh and clean. Location on a main street is bot good and bad. There are lots of restaurants and bars and the hotel is only a few steps from the harbourfront with restaurants and lovely condos. However, there was also a ruckus on the street the first night -- I guess this is the chance you take with a small downtown hotel. We would go back again.
“A great budget hotel”
This was a really good place to stay - I only saw two members of staff and they obviously had to work long and hard so reception was usually un-manned. However, sounding the relevant buzzer invariably produced a very rapid and helpful response. My spacious, clean and comfortable room was on the 4th floor and had a river view. No breakfasts but a constant supply of complimentary coffee and muffins in the second floor lobby. Alternatively, the adjoining Met Grill offered an extensive breakfast menu at very reasonable rates and there are several pretty good restaurants within a very short distance. I suppose you get what you pay for but in this case I think that the hotel offers a surprising amount for the price - not too many frills but highly recommended.
