“best place to stay”
great place to stay , in the middle of everything very nice
“French Quarter Hotel”
The hotel had character and charm that modern chain hotels lack. The hotel was wonderful, the staff fantastic, and the location was in the heart of the French Quarter, within walking distance to all the sites and exceptional restaurants. I would recommend the hotel to friends and stay there again!

We stayed here several years ago, and came back for three nights mid-May 2012. It is a charming facility, moderately priced, in an excellent location.
“Heaven 2 minutes from Bourbon St”
Very pleasant lttle hotel with all the basic needs for an enjoyable stay! What makes it's appeal is it's rustic look and 1800's charm. Beautiful courtyard, very peacefull and so close to all that the French Quarter has to offer. I would go back tomorow. Our room was on the top floor with no room beside us ( emergency staircases) therefore no noisy neighbour!!!
“Real New Orleans charm.”
I loved this hotel. It was so typical New Orleans with its beautiful courtyard and wrought iron work. My room was lovely with an exposed brick wall and windows overlooking the street. Coffeemaker, hairdryer were provided along with thick washcloths and towels. Croissants, pastries, juice and coffee were served every morning in a breakfast room. The hotel could not have had a better location being right off the main square. I would certainly stay there again . It was too rainy and cool to use their courtyard pool, so I will have to go back soon! However ,I recommend booking the deluxe rooms as the standards usually do not have windows.
“Location, Location, Location...and Charm!”
This was my first visit to NOLA so I did a lot of research in hotels and ended up booking the Place D Armes on a whim...it was not my first choice. What a wonderful and lucky whim it turned out to be! This hotel has all the charm of typical NOLA. The rooms are not fancy or huge but are beautifully quaint. The staff was amazing...they were always on top of whatever we needed and very willing to help and give directions and information about the area. And when i say LOCATION...I mean perfect location! Saint Louis Cathdral and Jackson square are steps from your door...Cafe Du Monde is less than a block...Bourbon is 2 blocks. The area is full of people and goings on! Place D Armes is my all time NOLA go to! AMAZING!

The atmosphere was wonderful. The location and the view were great for visiting the French Quarter. It was close to everything and quiet. I would recommend this to anyone.

Hotel staff was great and very eager to help with any request. The location is prime. 2 blocks one direction to Cafe Du Monde and 2 blocks teh other directions to Burbon Street. The French Market is withing walking distance in less than 10 minutes and the trolly stop is a block behind Cafe Du Monde. The room was always well cleaned and plenty of stock. The bed in the first room was to old and springs located in the wrong place but the second room they gave us was a little better.Westayed 6 nights and managed okay with it. Again, the staff was great and made up for the bed. Cafe Du Monde is a must and the line moves pretty quick so don't be scared off. There are also several Walgreens and small markets within a few blocks if you forgot home items or traveled light.
