“Go to this Hotel's Restaurant”
The hotel was fine for the money but the real gem was the hotel restaurant. I am from New Orleans so I did not think the hotel resturant would impress me much-I was very mistaken! The food was amazing and the price was so low I had to ask if we had been charged correctly. In addition the chef took us in late night with an empty dining room and was charming and friendly. If you visit New Orleans and don't stay at this hotel go to the restaurant anyway!
“I HIGHLY recommend this hotel”
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The staff at this hotel are AMAZING--always willing to help in any way possible. The room was really clean and spacious. The hotel is also in a pretty good location.. The Room has great amenities like Coffee/tea maker, TV, In-room safe, Climate control, Shower/tub combination. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and quiet and very clean and inviting.
“early 1900,s style”
we enjoyed our stay great service nice courtyard with pool
“An adequate place to stay.”
I had to travel to New Orleans to do some research at Tulane University. The hotel was economical, convenient, and an adequate place to stay in the city while working there for a few days. If I were planning a nice family vacation in New Orleans, I don’t know if this would be my first chose for a hotel but it was clean and fine for a short working trip. It is a good place for students or someone with a limited budget.
“Renovation needs to be completed.”
They are trying, but the hotel is old and used. If they complete renovations, it will be great.
“A Bit Disappointed”
I probably would stay elsewhere. Alot of noise at night and not really close to downtown,
“New Orleans Stay”
Beds where hard. There was barely any hot water, but the service was nice.
“Horrible”
"OMGosh. Prostitues", no bar/restaurant like description, horrible bathroom, no coffee anywhere but down the road at Burger King
“Very cheap and you can see why”
A lot of people of people live permanently in this hotel and it shows. If my parents were reviewing the room when they were my age, they'd have said it was dated. I woke up on the last day of my stay to find a (dead) cockroach on the floor. Towels looked clean, although the bathroom floor wasn't. Having said that, I left a lot of stuff lying around in my room and the maids stole none of it. I've stayed in more expensive hotels and had stuff stolen so there's a plus. Staff were friendly and happily moved my friends to a different room when theirs wasn't suitable. The area is pretty dire. I booked this place because all I was looking for was a bed to go back to after Bourbon St - it served its purpose. That's not to say i wouldn't pay more next time for something that wasn't this place!
“Wow, but in the bad way”
If you value cleanliness or furniture at all dont come here. Was simply useful as a place for my college buddies and I to crash for the sugar bowl. Our standards are low and this managed to stay at or below them. Impressive.
