“Wonderful hotel”
I would recommend this hotel to everyone, it is so close to all the action and the rooms are great. Wonderful staff, super friendly, all together a really nice hotel. We stayed the on Jun 26 - 28, cannot wait to go back.
“nicely impressed!”
had a great time! went there to propose to my sweetie. staff worked with me to have friends moved closer to my room. greatly appreciated. rooms were neat and clean, sometimes hard to find in an older building. but they did it quite nicely. with it priced the way it was, i will definitely return for a romantic get-away!
“Very nice”
Very near French Quarter, yet quiet and high class. Room was large and well appointed.
“Very Nice Hotel”
I will stay here when I visit New Orleans. The room was exceptionally clean and I loved it. Then only thing is that I am 5'5" and the shower heads are installed to high my husband had to reach it.
“lovely boutique hotel”
Attending a conference, I figured I would not spend time at the hotel, so reserved a "rock star" windowless room. I got upgraded to a lovely large room, so got luxury at a rock bottom price.
“Great stay”
Friendly service, good hotel bar, small but nice rooms.
“Interesting Crowd”
I have good impressions of this hotel, with a nice candle lit lobby, friendly staff, nice drink specialties, and apparently a diverse young crowd hanging out at the bar or in the lobby until late. Depending on your room setup and whether it has windows or not, you should plan to spend as little time as possible in your room and instead, after enjoying some drinks at the bar, head out to the French Quarter or hop on the streetcars two blocks away.
“Awesome hotel in a great location”
My room was beautifully furnished and comfortable. There was a huge tiled shower with glass doors big enough for four, easy! The lobby is very luxurious and has a nice bar with comfortable seating. There is also computer with internet for use in lobby and a snack room with a TV. Really enjoyed my stay and definately will stay there again.
“"International Star"”
Love, love, love International House! I first stayed there when it opened almost a decade ago and was so pleased to see it still shining brightly in 2010. There's nothing better than seeing the owner spending time in the lobby meeting guests of the hotel. He really cares about your experience. This may be a 100+ room boutique hotel but it certainly feels like an ultra-stylish, ultra-laid back home while you're in New Orleans. Sure the rooms may be small and simple but they're very pretty with comfortable beds and gorgeous windows. The location is AMAZING, within easy walking distance to the best parts of the French Quarter but far enough away that you can actually sleep if you can find the time (we didn't get very much that weekend b/c I was hosting the Best Bachelorette Party ever!!!). I definitely recommend IH or her sister, Loft 523, if you really must have a "bigger" room.
“Pleasantly surprised!”
We were celebrating our anniversary. I had booked a standard room. When we arrived, I was first impressed by the reception we received. But our greatest shock came when the staff showed us to a penthouse suite! I was told it was in honor of our anniversary! This was our best visit and yes, we will book again! Only one disappointment - no in-room coffee.
