"Best hotel staff in New Orleans"
Boooked a short stay from Nov 14 -Nov 18, 2014. I live in Hamburg, NY (Buffalo) and that area of New York state got hit with the worst snow storm EVER!. Had to extend my stay for an additional 3 days. All of the staff at the Provincial are professional, personable, considerate, and accommodating. I've stayed in many different lodgings in New Orleans and I've found a new favorite in the Hotel Provincial. They were renovating during our stay so I didn't complain that our heat was faulty and it took SEVERAL minutes for the bathroom water to get hot - but not so serious that I needed to point it out during our stay. Our room and the overall atmosphere of this hotel was incredibly clean and otherwise well maintained. We took advantage of the continental breakfast each morning. Parking in the French Quarter is extremely difficult, so I appreciated that the valet parking was within the courtyards of this lodging. the valets were wonderful!! We never had to wait for our vehicles longer than 5 minutes (if even that long), and the hotel was sold out when we checked in. Away from the craziness of Bourbon Street, but close enough to everything in the French Quarter, the Marigny, Treme, and even the CBD. The Provincial Hotel will be my first choice for my next visit to New Orleans!

"Beautiful small hotel on the edge of the action"
We loved the melrose mansion. The room was large and the marble bathroom was beautiful. Staff were very kind, even coming outside to greet us and direct us in at 3:30am and gave good directions and recommendations for the French quarter. The neighborhood was quiet at night but still within walking distance of all the French quarter activities and Frenchman street. Would definitely stay again.

"Great location in the French Quarter"
This was the same hotel where we spent our second Anniversary (a long time ago). It was just as nice, or better than it was back in the 90's.

"Beautiful and quaint."
The hotel including the lobby, standard room, restaurant & bar are spotless clean & beautifully decorated. Definitely visit the Carousel Lounge with the revolving bar off the main lobby. It's a conversation piece.

"Perfect for Convention Center business."
In N.O. strictly for business at Convention Center so hotel location perfect walking distance. Construction was bit of a nuisance in/outside but spent so little time each 24 hours in hotel made no difference. Staff very pleasant, helpful. Breakfast worked perfectly for convenient, hasty start each morning. Two minor complaints: VERY uncomfortable only chair in room, especially since I used it to do my paperwork at the desk; annoyed at billed fitness charge, since I never use it at any hotel. Walking to/from Convention Ctr, then walking yet-another major trade show each day is always all the exercise needed on my 35-40 show' travels in different cities each year . Would recommend hotel to serious biz travelers in N.O. for Convention Ctr. trade show, not for vacation.
