“Excellent stay”
It was the doubletree hotel that we stayed at. The rooms were wonderful, modern and clean, beautiful lobby and decor. The only bad thing was that the only way into the hotel from the parking lot in the back was very under lighted and it was scary coming into it at night. In addition, even though we paid through expedia up front for the rooms, we were charged again by Doubletree. It took several phone calls and a couple of emails before they initiated the process to refund the double charges. however, with that said, I would stay there again.
“Excellent hotel for a great price!”
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We booked it only an hour or so before we arrived, calling around looking for a hotel as near the French Quarter as we could find. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the room was very clean, nicely caparisoned, and reasonably priced. The neighborhood was fine, the service was excellent, and the stay was a very pleasant experience for all of us. The French Quarter was only 10 minutes away - I would definitely stay here again!
“New Orleans Cruise Stay”
Great Price. Hotel offers free parking for cruise duration with one night stay.
“Love the hotel, but sometimes had trouble working the mattress meter”
Great hotel, great location, pool and full breakfast included. Some rooms have flat screen TV's, others don't. Free parking. Sometimes had trouble with the mattress meter, but on the whole, the hotel was great. Visited in January and April. Nice business section, with internet and printer. Work out room open 24 hours.
“Great experience”
Great location, easy access to the interstate. Quiet, clean and very reasonable price. Have stayed in much worse paying much more.
“Very nice airport area hotel”
This hotel is extremely conveniently located at the corner of Veterans and Williams Blvd. You can catch I-10 just around the corner and the airport is a very short hop from this hotel.
“Couldn't hear the planes!”
We checked in at 8:30 at night for one night stay with 2 rooms. The clerk (night manager) told me one of our rooms was not ready! Are you kidding me? I told her we didn't have to be on the same floor and I swear she said she didn't have anymore rooms but after a lot of typing and 30 minutes later she found me an additional room. It was late considering we had a 6:00 am flight. She gave me coupons for some cookies that were coming out of the oven but when my son-in-law went downstairs and waited for 30 minutes they never materialized. We did pick them up the next morning at 4:30 but what I should have done was made her buy me a glass of wine for all the trouble.
“Better Than Expected”
The hotel was a very pleasant Surprise considering the price compared to others in the area. It was very clean, updated (LCD Television), staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any and everyone looking for a pleasant stay at a wonderful hotel
“A place to rest and relax”
on checking in we had a wait, because we were early, and the dining room gave us a coffee and a cookie from the front desk to hold us over. Staff very friendly. The shuttle driver was funny , but his humor could offend some people. We laughed to the airport. The restaurant /bar service was fun and good food. Enjoyed it.
“Great value.”
The staff was very professional. Room was excellent & the chocolate chip cookie I got upon check in was warm & delicious. Plan to stay here again on my next trip to the New Orleans area.
