A comfortable hotel in an excellent location.

Posted 24-May-2015
Pros: Good hearty breakfasts and although the room was not overly large the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were all very helpful.
Cons: Drawbacks were size of pool and bar, however this could be difficult to rectify due to the restrictions of space.
Location: Ideal place to do the tourist bit from.
Spent 3 days here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it rained one day there was still plenty to occupy ourselves with.

Location: one block away from Canal St , four blocks from Bourbon St, and pretty much this hotel is near everything but far enough from the madness...
Great staff!!! they made it pleasant and they were very helpful ... and the breakfast was very good…

Nice hotel in NOLA's CBD

Posted 21-May-2015
Pros: The comfort, cleanliness, and amenities in our room. Location in the business district and near museums and the French Quarter.
Cons: Noise, both from exterior sources and from other rooms inside the hotel. A mildly unpleasant experience with a grouchy hotel bar employee.
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of several museums, street car lines, and the French Quarter.
The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from the National WW II Museum. It's housed in what the hotel reports are historic structures dating back to the 1860's. The property intentionally has left visible certain features (wooden beams, parts of brick walls, etc) so that guests can see the antique components of the building underlying the modern, updated designs. The lobby is pleasing and comfortable. There's a tiny swimming pool built into a cozy courtyard. We had a tasty complimentary hot breakfast as part of our stay. The hotel has a small pantry type store adjacent to the lobby desk, but the selection of goods seemed very limited. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a separate bedroom and king bed. The room had a sofa bed and desk in the living area, two TV sets (one in the bedroom and the other in the living area), a mini refrigerator and a microwave. Our time in our room was noisy; sounds from the street and adjacent rooms seemed to be more pronounced than in other hotel experiences I've had over many years. While we were on a third floor room overlooking Magazine street, it often felt like our room could have been in the first floor lobby as the street noise was so amplified. Likewise, it sometimes seemed like guests in other rooms were actually in our room as, again, the sounds were amplified. Overall, we had a pleasant experience during our stay at this property.

Nice hotel close to everything.

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Location, free breakfast, clean, nice staff, free wifi.
Cons: We requested a late checkout, but we would have been charged $25 per hour. We felt this was a bit on the chintzy side and chose not to partake.
Location: Very near Bourbon street and all the action of the city.
Overall, good experience. Easy check in, room was ready when we arrived. It was small but did have a king bed which we had requested. We found it interesting that although we took the elevator to the 3rd floor, we had to go up a few steps to our hallway. No problem for us, but this would be an issue for someone in a wheelchair. We enjoyed the free breakfast each day... this was a nice touch.

Great location for visiting New Orleans

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: We enjoyed the remodeled warehouse with very high ceilings and the central location.
Cons: The only negative we experienced was with the breakfast. While the food was good, the staff was overwhelmed some mornings by the volume of people.
Location: Two blocks from the Quarter, two from the casino and only 3-4 from the Museum. Great restaurant across the street and other good food nearby.
We found this CI&S location to be within easy walking distance of the Quarter and other New Orleans attractions. The hotel was very clean, the staff friendly and our room comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Hôtel bien situé pour visiter à pied.

Posted 17-May-2015

Our room had so much Character!

Posted 14-May-2015
It was a fun place to stay. Close to Canal street for everyday things we needed, forgot, or ran out of. Walking distance to French Quarter. Although a little more than we planned to spend, Breakfast was yummy. Valet Parking service was great. The staff are the friendliest we've encountered anywhere. Concierge very knowledgeable and gave us good recommendations. All over New Orleans, everyone is so friendly.

location

Posted 13-May-2015
Location is great, facilities clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a four rating. The only thing I would critic is that the bathroom could need a little upgrading. There was no exhaust fan in ours and that was not very pleasant as we were a group.
