Convenient. Slightly Dirty.

Overall, I have to say I got what I paid for. The location was great, but the hotel and room itself was pretty average. My room was not as clean as I was expected and in the duration of my stay, I was bitten by some sort of bug. My colleague had bites on him as well. From the view of the room, I can't say that I'm surprised, I just didn't expect it to happen.

Stayed at this hotel 4 nights after a cruise

Walking distance to French Quarter. 2 blocks from The Ruby Slipper. Staff very accommodating and always smiling. Thanks Eric and Andres. Good breakfast with hot and cold items. Lots of history at this hotel. Would stay here again.

This hotel is across the street from French Quarter and very quiet. Really good restaurants around hotel and the concierge is very helpful.

Nice hotel close to the French quarters

I had a pleasant time, but parking is a pain because it's too expensive. Breakfast is better during the week than on the weekend. I loved it overall. Wifi is easy to access. Smells great inside. Pool is a bit small. The consear helped us find things to do, very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place, not your young people though more for older people.

great location excellent staff

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: The Staff
Cons: Find out what was making all the noise near room 440
Location: The Chophouse accross was an excellent dinning facility along with Emerils a few blocks away.
All the staff went above and beyond making sure our stay was pleasant. Room was small but we didnt spend much time there. Only complaint was that room 440 was extremely noisey due to a motor of some sort running constantly with a vibration.

Perfect choice. Would stay there again.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Later breakfast time.
Location: very central to many attractions. Close to Riverwalk Outlet Mall (5 minute walk) close to French quarter but without the noise.
10 minute walk to French Quarter. 5 minute walk to Canal St and street car. No. 11 bus (just further along the street) takes you all the way down to the other end of Magazine St (where the lovely shops and restaurants are) Hotel was nice and quiet at night, although we were the furthest from the elevators so that probably helped! The bed was so comfy and the room was spacious. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, especially Eddie the concierge. Breakfast was plentiful and the variety was good. Would have been nice to have a breakfast option until 10am rather than 9.30.

Glad to hear everything went so well! I will be sure to share the pat on the back with the staff! I hope your travels bring you back to the Big Easy soon, and we can be a part of your next New Orleans trip.

Great hotel, great experience

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Got there on St. Patrick's Day. Hotel staff was great with directions. Some of them spoke Spanish which was a nice surprise for my Peruvian girlfriend! The room wasn't huge but we did get a King bed as requested. One thing I really liked was that the walls were so thick that it was completely quiet in the evenings. Due to the location, attitude of the staff and willingness to help us with our trip, I would definitely recommend this hotel for future guests!

Thanks for sharing, Jake. One of the perks of being a historic building that dates back to the 1850's is that the original brick walls are pretty solid at shielding noise! Glad we could be a part of your New Orleans experience.
