Very beautiful lobby. Purchased a room for a friend and didn't go up but I loved the feel in the lobby, exposed reclaimed wooden beams, whitewashed walls. Very nice lady who checked us in at the front desk.

Not your typical Country Inn and Suites

Posted 22-Nov-2014
Pros: Unique design
Cons: Let guests know that the rooms are very limited in size.
Location: Great food nearby and a short walk to the activities near Bourbon Street.
We had only a one night stay in this unique hotel which is actually a number of older buildings that have been put together. It's a very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff within walking distance of lots of great food and music. Our only disappointment was the size of the room which was unbelievably small. The king size bed left only enough room to walk around the sides of the bed. While we didn't need a lot of room, there was almost nowhere to set up the luggage stand.

Parents' Weekend at Tulane

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Very well kept and convenient.
Cons: Nothing of note.
Location: Everything in the Quarter and Uptown is completely accessible without driving.
We have stayed at this hotel several times, as it is very clean and well staffed, while being convenient to the Quarter and the streetcar.

Great Value

Just a short walk from the french Quarter and all he trolley lines, you will not find a better hotel, especially for the price.

Great hotel especially for the price

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Awesome location for the price. Basically right off Canal St. and just a short walk to Bourbon St. Hotel was very clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. Complimemtary wifi was a nice surprise. Very friendly/helpful staff. Parking sucks, as it does everywhere in New Orleans.

Glad to hear it was a 5 star stay! We actually even upgraded our wi-fi this year to the most premium speeds that are available.

Lovely hotel

Posted 9-Nov-2014
Pros: The location, the cleanliness and the staff.
Location: I could walk to my confernece, and walk to eat. The location is in a "safe" and busy section of New Orleans.
This hotel ( as usual), was clean lovely and ideally located a block from the French Quarter. The desk staff was helpful and pleasant. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Great hotel close to French Quarters

Posted 8-Nov-2014
Pros: The style of the restoration, I felt at home. Also very comfy beds. Tea and coffee making in the room, wow!
Cons: When my husband sat at the desk I could not get past to go to the bathroom. Rearrange the furniture so it does not have pinch points
Location: Close to French Quarters, easy walk to restaurants, and the river for paddle steamer.
Beautifully restored with total respect of the buildings previous life. Such ingenuity. All staff were friendly, helpful and polite. We were surprised to get free breakfast, a bonus. Within 40 metres to the French Quarters everything else in close proximity. Easy to find restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was clean, charming and well located.

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: We loved that we booked a king room and discovered that it was a suite. That made our stay very comfortable.
Cons: The lobby lounge had limited hours of operation. It would have been nice if it were opened all day for drinks and snacks.
Location: We enjoyed the ease of getting to the restaurants in the French Quarter. We spent several hours in the World War II Museum which is up the street.
The hotel was very comfortable and at a good price. We loved that we could get to many attractions on foot. When we needed a taxi from the hotel the bellman had one for us quite promptly. However, when we were out and about in New Orleans it was quite difficult to get a taxi. We always had a long wait. N.O. needs Uber! Unforturnately the strong Taxi lobby defeated attempts by Uber to serve the city.

Thanks for sharing and I am glad that you had a good stay. I know the transportation available in New Orleans is quickly expanding and Uber has started limited service. Hopefully your next trip to New Orleans is even better!

Away from the noise, but still close to the action

Posted 28-Oct-2014
Pros: Close proximity to French Quarter Bathroom Products supplied Coffee and cookies supplied in foyer throughout the day
Cons: Wifi was a bit unreliable
Location: Peche Restaurant and Bar in Magazine Street is worth a visit. Very good food. Not as touristy as other restaurants.
This hotel is off Canal Street, a few blocks down from Bourbon. Everything is easy to walk too. The cathedral roof on the foyer can make it a bit noisy at times. However overall a comfortable place to stay. Supplies Pantene shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, which is much better than what you mostly get at hotels. We had a king bed which was very comfortable.
