"Nice airport hotel"
This hotel is well located; close to both the airport and the JR train station of Chitose. It has an onsen (Japanese -style spa) with long hours (5am-1am) and an airport shuttle that operates on a fixed schedule.

I showed up early and the room wasn't ready yet but they offered to hold my baggage while I explored the town and got a bite to eat. Very clean hotel with super friendly and helpful staff that might not be 100% lingual in your language but that didn't stop them from going out of their way to make sure they understood what any questions I might have had. Hotel is very close to the Chitose station (10 minute direct-line walk) which connects to everything and is one stop away from the Chitose International Airport.

"Close to airport, spacious room, great breakfast"
I needed a hotel close to the airport for an early-morning departure. There was a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel (about a 10 minute ride). The hotel also offered a free shuttle back to the airport, though I took a taxi, as I had an early flight and wanted to ensure I was there well in advance. The room was large, nicely furnished, and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a wide variety of foods (Japanese to western), nicely presented, plentiful, and tastey. Front-desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We enjoyed staying in the room with private hot spring very much. The food buffet is also excellent. The staffs are very helpful to us.

"Nice but a little far from the Train Station"
APA Resort is a nice looking hotel. It has a large lobby and a hot bath for the public. I did not go in the hot bath so I can't tell you what it's like. The room and rug were clean but a little dated. The room was small. This is not unusual in Japan, especially in this price range. ( I rented the least expensive standard room). There was an odd arrangement for the sink and shower. The faucet swung back and forth between the sink in the tub. The air conditioner seems to be controlled by fan speed only. I could not find any temperature controls. It was comfortable anyway. The staff could not have been nicer. English was a little difficult for them but they tried very hard to be helpful. Fortunately I speak enough Japanese to get by. The ride to the hotel was expensive. About $30 US by taxi. Fortunately, there are two buses that stop regularly near the hotel. It costs about $2.50 to travel one way to the Sapporo rail station which is in the middle of town. Towns in Japan seem to wake up around 11 o'clock so you will have to look for breakfast in the hotel or at a McDonald's which is about a city block away. Internet was supposed to be included in the hotel room. There was a wire provided, but no Internet. Fortunately there is a free WiFi hotspot downstairs near the reception desk. I was able to check my e-mails. This was good enough for me because I came to see Japan, not surf the Internet. There is a coin laundry facility downstairs off the lobby.
