“Chic hotel in great location”
Enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Lagon. Very well maintained and attractively decorated hotel. Location is very good close to the beach. Walk a short way up L'anse vata away from the beach and hotel and you will find a fantastic gourmet boulangerie (bread and pastry shop), there is a also a supermarket full of French goodies, and reasonably priced French wines to try. The reasturaunt right nextdoor to the hotel on the beachside (Amadeu) was exceptional and one of the highlights of our short stay. Not cheap, but if you're looking for a top notch French dining experience close to the hotel, I'd strongly reccomend it. You are within easy walking distance tto the Baie des Citrons, which is always a bit more sheltered from the wind. We walked a lot in to the centre of Noumea, which was a easy and pleasant walk along the beaches. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, lending us bottle openers, changing money and arranged a transfer back to the international airport for us (which cost 3000CPF each, fair value). we only had breakfast in the hotel resturaunt once, but it was nice with a good selection on offer. All in all we were very pleased with the Lagon and would be happy to reccomend it to our friends. Merci
“Great value!”
Initially booked for 3 nights, extended to 7 at the same rate. Had all the amenities we like: working AC, good internet access included, shower over bath, veranda, fitness room, pool. very good location just off Anse Vata, laundry room (extra fee, and washer cycle takes 3 HOURS!). No water view, but Noumea is quite expensive to visit, and this is the best bargain we got during our stay.

Clean basic hotel with pool and dining room. Close to beach. Friendly staff. Stayed overnight on a business trip - easy access and check in/out.
“A Great Place to Stay”
Wonderful, friendly staff greeted us in this small hotel close to the beach at Anse Vata. The reception staff speak good English, but were more than willing to help with our French efforts. Our room was bright, clean and modern, with air conditioning, a good, free, Internet connection, and a balcony. Noumea is an expensive place to eat out all the time, and we took good advantage of the kitchen facilities also available in the room. Very good value for money.

“Very pleasant hotel, good location, good value..”
I highly recommend this hotel; The location is near the beaches and good restaurants; it is also not far from city centre; there is regular bus service and it takes less than 15 mins to reach to the city centre. The hotel has been recently renovated; the rooms are very clean and comfortable

On our arrival we were greated and made to feel very special we had a few questions all were answerd Julian was so fantastic with helping us with information. “Clean & convenient place to live!”
For a 3.5stars twinshare room, this place is great! Free internet (cable in the room, WiFi in the lobby), balcony to hang bathers dry, basic gym, next to 2 convenience stores,agent for ile des pine, bus stop to the city outside (Bus7), a bakery, 3min walk to Promenade & Shops, 15min walk to Aquarium, 20min walk to Baie Des Citron (Amorino Gelato YUM!), staff are pleasant (though English is limited). Only thing is our door to separate the bathroom and the room is slats. So it means that you can hear each other's personal bathroom noises. So make sure you're comfortable with that if you're sharing. Apart from that, i'll definitely recommend this place.
“Great hotel, great location”
Lovely, well appointed rooms, situated right near the beach at Anse Vata. Also close to shops, restaurants, taxi boats and the aquarium. We were able to easily catch the bus to the town centre. Would definitely stay at Anse Vata over Baie de Citrons. Pool is a little small but nice pool and spa area. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
