The location is ideal, in a quiet street but only minutes, via a close at hand underground station, from the city centre. The hotel is comfortable and well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. Our bedroom was clean and spacious, with all required amenities including free wifi and good sized safe. The breakfasts are well organised, plentiful in variety, and of high quality, with lots of staff to immediately replenish anything that's running out. The bar supplies light meals as well as drinks. We stayed here seven years ago, came back this time and, if we re-visit Vienna, would be happy to return to the Maria Theresia.
"GOOD HOTEL CONVENIENT TO THE METRO SYSTEM AND CITY"
The high-class Wimberger proved excellent value-for-money for my 5-night stay. The room facilities were very good and the breakfast buffet was wide-ranging and first-class. The staff were helpful and easy-going.
Hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing and is well priced for the amenities it has to offer. It takes around 25 minute walk to get to the city center.
Staff was efficient, however sadly to say to the point of unfriendly.
While this was advertised as an apartment with a full kitchen there were no dishes or cooking implements so we were unable to actually eat or cook anything in our room. Quite a waste! The website noted that the apartments had sofabeds however ours had only a couch which meant that one of our group spent the week sleeping on a couch. The internet was very slow and often the signal was too weak to send messages. The location was good, the room was nice and clean. The property is quite new and we found the staff friendly and helpful with good command of English.
The hotel is well situated near the museum quarter and within walking distance of major cultural venues. We had a room that was large by European standards, with a very good bathroom. Breakfast was at a very acceptable level without being anything special. The Hotel staff differed from person to person in their attitude and general competence. One member forgot to send off our laundray for two days, which was awkward for us. Another tried to cover the mistake, but a third apologised profusely and offered us a free breakfast which was appreciated. The rooms are immacutely cllean, wifi is good, and we enjoyed our stay.
Once a poor, overcrowded neighbourhood of textile workers, the 7th Bezirk has regenerated into a trendy student enclave. Visitors hone in on the feisty modern art in the MuseumsQuartier, while cafés, pubs and a thriving folk music and theatre scene keep Neubau humming into the wee hours.
