“Great Value!!!!”
This hotel has everything you need. Comfortable beds, mini fridge, pool, air conditioning, internet, clean rooms, in room safe and they will accomodate you in anyway they can to make your stay enjoyable. Great location as well. Definately a great place to stay while in Negril. Enjoy!!!
“like our second home”
We had a phenomenal time at the Oasis. The staff are extremely accomodating and always eager to help. They greeted us each by first name starting as soon as we arrived. We felt very spoiled to be able to stay at such a beautiful place!
“Tranquility in Negril!”
The hotel has been beautifully renovated and is compact, convenient and serene. All of the employees are helpful and very accomodating. Nicky, Debra, Dennis, and Tara are all top shelf individuals. My only problem with Oasis policy is that they won't allow anyone, even a relative or guest in your room at any time and for any duration without an extra charge. This is should be changed to overnight guest. However, this is the policy of almost every hotel in Jamaica. The Oasis is off the main road just close enough to be a nice walk for a taxi, and far enough to provide a quiet environment that makes this hotel my favorite. There is a nice pool with many chaise lounges and an attractive outdoor bar and restaurant, a meeting room and tennis court. The air conditioning works well in all the rooms and is not needed at night in Dec., Jan., and Feb. If your looking for parties, this is not your place.
“A True Oasis”
The Oasis Resort was totally an Oasis. Tucked away on a driveay in the middle of a busy thoroughfare. Not even the local Taxi driver we used knew it was there. Close enough to all the action but far enough away. Friendly and clean. A short walk away from local grocery/convinience/liquor store. I would definately stay again, and bring the entire family
“Can't wait to go back!”
Really enjoyed hanging with the staff, very friendly people. I like the area gives you a better experience compared to a sandles or a resort you can get anywhere.
“Californian in Negril who loves this hotel!”
For the money this hotel is a major score! Newly renovated and very well run, the rooms, the surrounding gardens, and the pool are very pleasing. But for me the highlight was the bar and restaurant area. The beer is cheap and so is the food, but don't let that fool you. I ate like a king, with all menu items going down easy and them some! For you scare d cats, I did not have one incident of indigestion or stomach problems because all the food was fresh cooked. Put your order in an hour early and they will have it ready for you. The hotel is off the main road in West Negril and was formerly Thrill Resort. It is very quite and you will sleep like a baby. The location is a cab ride to the strip in Negril, but short walks to some great beaches and bars. If you are looking for a noisey party spot this is not it. But a romantic time with a woman or fun with your family it is. Even has a tennis court and everything is within a small compact radius at the Oasis Resort. The staff was awesome!
“Friendly hotel with a personal touch.”
My beau and I spent 6 days at the Oasis during a quiet week in early Dec. The management and staff were all very friendly and happy to assist us. The restaurant has fresh, authentic, delicious and well priced food. We were on the breakfast plan and enjoyed the Jamaican breakfasts as well as the fresh fruit plates. Yummy curry chicken and jerk dishes for dinner. Tasty, well priced drinks from the bar served with a smile by Sasha and Shirlee. Lance will bring you down to 7 mile beach to a great little spot called Westleas's cabins..enjoy a beach massage from Verona, grab a Red Stripe or fruit punch and just enjoy the quiet,no pounding music or hourds of tourists! The only negatives during our stay were the LOUD music that periodically was blasted from a neighboring house..the management and staff of the Oasis were sympathetic, but it really was beyond their control..and sometimes the TV behind the hotel bar was too loud, making a nap by the pool hard to do..but then again I detest TV,so maybe that won't bother everyone...aside from the ubiquitous barking dogs at night in Jamaica it's a relaxing location. If you want to be right on the beach..it's not your place, but we enjoyed walking to the various restaurants and bars nearby..found some great local spots..much better than Rick's Cafe which is really just a tourist trap..keep walking, you'll find much more interesting places without the crowds.
“Love this Hotel”
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room (had fridge, fan, and AC), grounds and pool were very nice. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. To name a few... Arlett and Sasha take care of you at the bar, Jahnisa at the front desk, Jacky keeps your room spotless, Leroy will take you where you need to go, and Dennis will cook you a wonderful meal (try the local dishes). The price of the food and the ice cold Red Stripe was very reasonable. The staff makes you feel very welcome, they always address you by name and ensure you are comfortable. It was just a pleasure to be there (wish I still was).
“Finding an OASIS in JAMAICA”
Oasis is a hidden jewel Everything about it was perfect. Check in was swift. Our room was impeccably clean. Jackie worked hard to keep it that way everyday. Our room was right out of the Expedia travel picutres.French doors opened up to a small patio with 2 chairs and table. I DID NOT SEE ONE BUG on the island my entire trip!! Sasha served us breakfast every morning. Ackee and codfish and beans became our new 'regular' breakfast. COlin runs a tight ship, we wanted for nothing. Oasis is on the cliffs, away from the whte sandy beaches. Lewis is Oasis resident driver. He is always available to bring you wherever you need to go;bank,groceries.beaches.other resorts. Our plan was for ALL INCLUSIVE for breakfast only.I will do that again. leaving the ability to venture around town to visit other places, meet new friends. Everyone on the island was extremely friendly. We enjoyed making new friends and will go back soon and often to visit. We were well taken care of by Oasis staff and every single resort we visited was welcoming. Moon Dancer has spectacualr views. LTU has awesome food. DE BAR was so friendly and steps from our 'home' we visited often.
“We arrived as guests and left as family :::)”
I heart The Oasis, just as my title says we arrived as guests and really did leave as family. Mr. Whyte, Arlette and Sasha treated us very well. Dennis and company cooked awesome food in the kitchen, though it did take some time keep in mind that they make every order from scratch. The chicken soup and curry were my favorites. The cleaning staff was wonderful and cleaned our room everyday and did a great job. We didn’t even use the safe and left plenty of valuable items out and it was never a problem. We did have two rude neighbors who shared a wall with us and they could be quite loud at times, but we tried our best to ignore them. I recommend going to Rick’s Café and don’t shy away from Erica’s Café on the corner leading into the hotel, the conch soup is lovely. I can’t wait to go back to Jamaica and The Oasis and don’t shy away from tipping the staff; they really don’t make much money and rely on tips as income. Thanks for everything Oasis staff!!!!!
