“Everything we hoped for”
The friendilest staff on any hotel we have ever visited. From the front desk clerks to the groundskeepers: everyone made us feel welcomed. Buffet was just fine - great local dishes. Taxi service was outstanding and reasonable. Even though the beach area was across the street it was "no problem" with the crossing guard. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
“great honeymoon destination”
the hotel staff was great. it was quiet and relaxing... and the food was fantastic!!
“Superb staff - great hotel”
We stayed at SATP in June 2008 and were very pleasantly surprised to find the food, service and accommodation all exceeded our expectations. We've stayed at various Caribbean locations in recent years and this was without a doubt the friendliest, with the best service. The food was excellent throughout and while any all-inclusive can become a little repetitive if you stay for longer than a week, that can easily be overcome by taking advantage of some of the really good local restaurants. The beach being just across the road was no hardship at all and the security guard to see you across the road was a nice touch (I haven't been helped across the road for about 40 years!). Again, food and service there was excellent. The grounds were superb and the rooms were exactly what you need - spacious, simply furnished and with a great shower. The large balcony's were excellent for a late afternoon drink / relax / doze! This hotel, like the island itself, shouldn't be underrated - great value and can't find a bad word to say about the place. Do yourself a favour and pay this place a visit.
“the best in Negril”
with out a doubt the most friendly hotel/resort we have stayed in. The service and food were both excellent. Highly recommended and we will be going back for sure.
“Top Choice”
My wife and I concur that this trip (3 nights) was a rare occurence in that we were 100% satisfied with the resort at which we stayed. We never had a feeling of wishing we were somewhere else. In one word statements: romantic, private, lush, secluded, surreal, immaculate. We would highly recommend anyone traveling to the Caribbean to look into Sunset at the Palms.
“Soooo laid back...”
Perfect place to relax and unwind. Quiet, private, excellent personalized service from the staff, small number of guests (by the second or third day you will recognize everyone there, and the staff will great you by name). Not reccomended for travellers looking for anything beyond sun, sand, great food, and friendly service, as the activities are (blessedly) quite limited. SATP and its employees provided a perfect relaxing honeymoon with few distractions, and we will definitely return!
“Incredible Vacation Experience! Felt Like You Were a Celebrity”
I have done extensive traveling in the Carribean and this place by far is the best. It goes with the theme, "You can't stop the world...but you can get off for a while". The staff is incredible. They all know your name and what you like to drink, eat, etc. They take care of everything! Nothing is a problem. Your happiness is #1. The setting is incredible in terms of the resort and it is absolutely no big deal to walk across the street to the amazing beach. I cannot wait to go back...this time for at least a week!
“Amazing Place”
My husband and I stayed here with a few friends in Dec of 2005. This vacation seemed like a tremendous value to me. I read about bugs in other reviews, but, we had no problems at all with them? The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. The balconies and bathrooms were amazing and the rooms very comfortable! The grounds were gorgeous and well cared for. The beach and the beach grill are across the street from the bulk of the resort. I actually preferred this. I felt like the rooms and resort felt much more tucked away and private this way. The beach was beautiful and in my opinion one of the better beaches in Negril. We will definitely go back.
“Best vacation ever!”
Everything was amazing! The accommodations are top notch all the way. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was helpful and polite. The food was excellent and had fresh fruit at every meal. The resort provides night time entertainment and their travel lady, Lolita, helped arrange our day time trips away from the resort. Everything was perfect! I recommend this resort 100%!
“Relaxing Honeymoon”
We had a blast at the Sunset at the Palms. We stayed there for our honeymoon after getting married at the Grand Palladium Jamaica. We loved both resorts, but it was nice to come to a samll property that was relaxing and secluded and geared towards couple after a week of wedding craziness with family and friends at a huge resort. The place is beautiful, amazing woodwork and beautiful grounds. The staff is fantastic, everyone will know you name and the beach is so beautiful you will hate to leave it. If you are looking for a place with a lively nightlife, look elsewhere. This place does have a reggae or steel drum band play nightly, but they are done early. There was a great group of people there while we were there and we had a fun time even after the bands were done. Its small so you do hang with the same people the whole time, which we considered a plus.
