Rockhouse Hotel
My husband and I spent three nights at the Rockhouse and fell in love. Words cannot describe how beautiful the view was from our villa. We had massages which were amazing (definitely worth booking the ocean view massage) however the spa itself was very nice also. We ate at the Push Cart and Rockhouse Restaurant, both have a great view and excellent service, it just depends on what you are looking for. We would definitely go back!

Negril oasis
The Rockhouse is not a five-star hotel but by Negril standards it is first-rate, and reasonably priced for what you get. The location overlooking the cliffs is absolutely gorgeous, and the hotel is surprisingly quiet - a lovely escape from the bustle of Seven Mile Beach and West End tourist traps like Rick's Cafe. Then there are the little extras: Welcome drinks, yoga every morning on the cliffs with Fanette, the manager's cocktail reception, the cooking demonstration (with generous free samples!). The food at the hotel is very good, especially at the Pushcart, but make sure to also check out the local places: Sips n Bites right next door (great for breakfast!), Erica's (especially for lobster lovers) and 3 Dives (excellent jerk chicken) each a few minutes' walk.

A room with a reef!
A room with your own reef....Simply one of the most beautiful hotels I have visited.

Definitely going again.
Great hotel to get away from the noise and hustling of 7 mile beach! Beautiful scenery, great staff and great food (especially the fish sandwich at the pool bar!!!). Rockhouse restaurant food was decent, but Pushcart was great (especially the appetizers). Also take advantage of the food at the nearby 3 DIves Restaurant with their famous tasty jerk sauce.

Sunsets...Second to none!!!
First, the drive to Negril from Montego Bay is an adventure in itself-definitely have your driver stop at a roadside stand for a taste of the incredible jerk chicken and pork!! (SO good- I'm still dreaming about that!) The laid-lack, peaceful grounds of the Rockhouse Hotel were everything we were looking for! This is no mega all-inclusive-will loads of people. We never saw more than a dozen other guests at ANY time-even at the picturesque cliffside pool or even the incredible restaurant (that was wonderful and reasonably priced). The spectacular views that frame the breathtaking sunsets every night are second to none! The individual thatched roof villas are very private and adorable but we stayed in one of the (5) waterview rooms, each with outdoor shower and oceanview veranda-no complaints and half the price! Great romantic hotel-but, DO take a day and go to Seven Mile Beach-it is a short taxi ride and SO worth it! The sand is the whitest and sea the bluest you will ever see! and embrace the beach-strolling pedlers-we bought and ate 2 fresh lobsters on the spot that were wonderful! as well as fresh squeezed mango juice and fresh coconut! We also visited Rick's Cafe in Negril-also a 5 min taxi-it is commercial but still a World famous bar with incredible cliff divers-a MUST! However the food was "ok" there-opt for a local homecooked place for dinner instead. Only complaint: Wish Negril would invest in a sidewalk! Not really safe to walk-no shoulder at all!

Perfect peace can be found at the Rockhouse
I have stayed at the Rockhouse a number of times and I always have a great experience. My visit in November 2010 was no different--nothing short of PERFECT! I think what sets the Rockhouse apart from other hotels is the quality of their staff. Many hotels in the Negril area are beautiful (etc), but the Rockhouse has the location, amenities and PEOPLE that are the difference that makes the difference, and why I will always return there when I am seeking a vacation with perfect peace. Yoga in the morning by the pool; delicious breakfast after, followed by a swim or a retreat to the spa to be healed and spoiled by Joy and team. Bliss! I rarely left the property because there is no reason to--every need or whim could be met, by simply asking the nearest friendly face for whatever I wanted. Every face was friendly and professional, from reception, to security; Kenny Tours taxi drivers, the wait staff and chefs, and I can't say enough good things about the spa staff. I think if you are planning a trip to Jamaica, you should 1) go to Negril and 2) (only) stay at the Rockhouse. I am already planning my next trip. . in fact, I started planning it the day I checked out because I really didn't want to leave.

Great Stay
Awesome experience. Great resort and location. Very private and classy. Spectacular views. Very Clean. The villas are worth the experience. The only draw back is that it's not all inclusive, but it's definately more private and relaxing.

Oasis in Jamaica....
The Rockhouse Hotel is perfect for couples looking to get away. The food and service are top notch. There is not much in the way of things to do on the hotel property, but those at the hotel seemed to be looking for much more quiet than anything else. Overall, great quality food and ambiance.

Waited 20 years for a reservation........ WORTH IT!!!
As beautiful and more.... resort is gorgeous.... run like a well oiled machine.. except the dining room. Food mediocre but the service was worse... rest of staff just lovely. Ate at the rocktable...... like eating in hell.... no breeze or service. Wanted to jump in the ocean just to get a drink.
