“Hilton”
Their service and friendly staff made our trip are awesome.
“Relaxing time”
Hotel had beautiful gardens, great beach. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very relaxing. The only thing we didn"t enjoy was the view which was the parking lot and a building that was falling down. Didnt spend much time looking out the window anyways. Everything else was excellent.
“I would definitely stay here again!”
The British Colonial Hilton is smack dab in the middle of downtown Nassau. The amenities are awesome. While I was there, one of the three business center's computers were out of order, but I was able to use my personal computer to get online (all you have to do is ask the front desk for a free daily internet access code). The gym is sufficient to get a great workout in and the private beach is awesome! The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would say that the price of food in the hotel is comparable to that in town (the price of food is not cheap by any means), but it tastes much better. The straw market, Senor Frogs, the US embassy, and most other downtown spots are within walking distance. If you are looking for a place that is laid back and relaxing, this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend it for nightlife, party people though. Also take heed to the warnings about walking alone or in a small group at night around the beach. I had a couple of young teens try and snatch my necklace off me on my way back from the Fish Fry. The hotel provides a safe in every room.
“Worth the wait”
I had always wanted to stay at the British Colonial since my first trip to Nassau and am so glad I did. I throughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful, the room was beyond comfortable and the staff was great. It is conveniently located in downtown Nassau and the Straw market is only a few steps away.
“Pleased w/Hilton”
Satff provided excellent service. Rooms were very well maintained. If you wanted something-they were quick to provide it. Concierge was very knowledgeable-gave great advice. Only complaint-food and liquor prices were high but there were a number to places to eat very close to the Hilton and a liquor store directly in front of the Hilton.
“Great place”
Will definitely return here next trip. The staff go way out of their way to accommodate you. The grounds are immaculate. Security is very high so you feel completely safe.
“Great place for a "no-pressure" vacation”
I think this is primarily a business hotel, not a resort. That said, it was an ideal place for our winter vacation. All staff were friendly and helpful. We never felt pressure to sign up for a tour or buy trinkets. The concierge was extremely helpful with making arrangements. The private beach was beautiful and there was ample space and beach furniture for everyone. Great pool. Well equipped fitness center. The hotel was a short walk from the Straw Market and Bay Street, so shopping is close at hand if you want that. Junkanoo Beach and Arawak Cay were a 5 minute walk, so it was easy to feel close to island life. Senor Frog's is next door if you prefer something a little more tourist oriented. WiFi available for a fee, which is a good excuse to read a book in the sun.
“Perfect hotel for business travellers.”
Excellent hotel. Located in the center of the town.
“Selling Point”
I have just two words: private beach. This was an engagement vacation for my girlfriend and I. I needed just the right environment to propose and the private beach gave me just that. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable.
“Enjoy Good Food”
GREAT FOOD AND STAFF. The brunch was one of the best, not because of the quanity but because of the quality
