Great island, hotel is dated, TV was out.

Posted 18-May-2015
Overall good vacation experience, the hotel left a lot to be desired, and the TV never worked, they did provide us with a 50.00 credit each night for the TV being out. Anthony's has great food and good prices and is a quick walk away from the Beach Towers. Look there for food, drink, and pizza.

Hotel facilities is better than the services

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: The ocean theme, discovery activities with marine life etc.
Cons: Overall service
Hotel facilities are good for a relaxing vacation, but the service in the hotel are also very 'relaxing". Check-in arrangement was bad - the room they assign either not ready or have all kinds of issues. (After we complained this has been recovered). And there are also small issues in the room and it always took 30 minutes to 1 hour for the hotel staff to come over and fix them. My friend left a charger in the room and we called 3~4 times in the following week, no one can help at all. Even they promised to call back, once the phone hung up no one follow up at all.

Nice Time

Posted 14-May-2015
We were upgraded to the Coral Towers and found out why after a few days. 550 senior college students came for their senior trip. I'm glad we had a few days before they came since the beach was full of "partying" students. I stayed away from "spring break" for this reason. Some of the restaurants were reasonable for a vacation spot. While walking the grounds we tried to go to the "Royal Towers" pool area and were told we weren't allowed with many apologies. I don't know if the Royal Towers are villas or timeshare. Other than that, we had a very nice time.

Beach Towers - Atlantis

Posted 6-May-2015
Pros: Rooms and bathrooms were clean; bed was very comfortable!
Cons: better access for elderly such as wheelchairs between resorts on the property. Availability of more bottled water. (At the resorts, overpriced)
Location: enjoyed going into the city, but not the straw market. Shops around the Marina area made for a great walk, ice cream, lunch and dining.
Our stay at the Beach Towers was great, very clean room, quiet, great staff.. Price was very reasonable whereas we really never stayed in the room except to sleep. I recommend it highly if you don't mind walking a lot or taking the shuttle bus between the several resorts on the property. The beach, pools, dolphin cave, food - all fantastic!. I would return but my next stay would be at the Royal Towers which is much closer to everything.. I wouldn't recommend the straw market, its like a meat market and everyone has the same items; better quality and prices downtown along with a real Duncan Donuts coffee! Weather was fantastic every day. Highly recommend the Atlantis Paradise Island as a vacation resort for kids also.

Long weekend getaway

Posted 4-May-2015
Hotel and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful!! Very clean and staff were so friendly. Food was good. Expect to pay about $35 for taxi from the airport and food and drinks cost about 3-4 times more than in US. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay next time!!

Great for families/kids but watch your valuables!

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: Facilities, pools, activities, beach
Cons: Service is bad so come with low expectations. You will have to call twice for any needs. Do not misplace anything because it will "disappear"
Location: There was no need to do anything outside of hotel.
Atlantis offers a great vacation for families with kids. There is a lot to do and the kids will love it. We stay for 8 days 7 nights and it felt too long. 4 to 5 days suffices, in our experience. Food is very pricy and you should consider getting the meal plan (but note that you will have to pay mandatory gratuity upon when you dine in addition to cost). Service is severely lacking, especially for a Marriott Hotel. On numerous occasions, we had to make several calls to resolve simple problems, such as a non working remote or getting more towels (we had four people and only 2 towels were provided). Most times we would call and nothing would happen. Go with low expectations so that you will not be disappointed. The facilities are great generally speaking. Our room was nice but had signs of wear and tear, including rotting pipes in the bathroom. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT LOSE OR MISPLACE ANYTHING or you will never find it again. We were the last family at the kids pool and left a cell phone and kids shoes. We went back shortly after and all towels had been collected, etc. The cell phone was gone. We spoke to security, front desk, prompt response, pool area manager and no one showed any signs of caring nor followed up. Some pool attendants told us that someone took it and to keep asking questions as this happens often. Unfortunately not a single individual or manager cared, which was disappointed for a 4 star Marriott Hotel. Good experience but come with eyes wide open!!

1st family vacation to Atlantis

We had a wonderful time! Lots of fun in the sun. We had the meal plan which helped alot. I was disappointed that only certain restaurants are open certain nights. But overall, we had a great time by all.

Beach Tower

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Hotel is in nice location. Large marina across the way, which offers live entertainment, food, shopping and strolling. Use the Starbucks located here in the morning rather than the one in the hotel. The wait isn't as long! Our room overlooked the ocean; surf and palm trees...ahhhhh. The grounds offer many included activities and things to see. There is ample beach and/or pool space. The ferry is close by and a ride to Nassau is only $8 per adult round trip.
