Who cares about the room anyway!

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Cons: more modern rooms (carpeting, linens etc...)
The room is a bit outdated and not spectacular.....however it's clean and comfortable. But who cares about the room - you go to Atlantis for the amenities (which are oustanding). I went with my son and we had a blast. There are free activities to do (such as swim in one of the many pools, water rides, beach, enjoy the various marine lagoons filled w/ sharks, turtles, stingrays, go to the daily feedings or just walk around). We did the dolphin experience (the cheaper one for $140 per person) which was great - you get to hug a dolphin. Otherwise, i got around the pricey eating/drinking situation by going to the small market that's about 5 mins from the hotel and buying milk, fruit, PB&J etc.... (all of which were pricey but cheaper than buying meals). Overall - this is a great place to visit.

This is my third visit to Atlantis. Our second time staying at Beach Towers. Besides some renovating, tile replacement around bathtub, it was a good hotel experience. The room was very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. This was our first visit with our kids and they loved it. We hope to visit again!!

Expensive! Better to eat at the marina or right outside of it. Anthony's was a good option.

Nice rooms, good pool/beach, expensive dining

Posted 13-Feb-2015
Pros: There are lots of fun things to do at the hotel and the pool and beach are great. Rooms are comfy and generally quiet at nights.
Cons: There needs to be more outdoor dining, and more reasonably priced onsite dining, especially given how Atlantis is trying hard to appeal to families.
Location: At the Marina I definitely recommend the Bimini Cafe and definitely avoid the Delicatessen. Downtown has really become a "Cruise ship" center.
Pros: Beach towers is the cheapest of the Atlantis hotels and the farthest away from the main attractions, but you still get to use all of the facilities. The rooms are nice, the pool and beach are great and most rooms have a sea view. The staff is generally helpful, and if you can't find someone call the desk and they will help. Be sure to see all of the aquarium sections and ride "The Current". If you don't want to pay $22/day for WiFi, you can use 20 minutes per day of free Internet time in the Coral Towers library. Cons: You have to check in the hotel next door because there aren't facilities and only sometimes staff at the front desk in Beach Towers. You MUST get the daily newsletter, which is in stacks by the elevators (not delivered to your door as the hotel literature states) because it will not only tell about daily activities, but also tells you which restaurants are open that day. Everything is expensive, but the worst thing is that they tend to keep many more of the high end restaurants open each day rather than the few lesser priced ones. There is very little outdoor dining.

"Nice place but too expensive"

Posted 4-Feb-2015
Cons: Beach Tower Rooms have definitely to be renovated.
Location: Try the Dolphin Cay and Jet ski.
We booked our flight and our stay through Expedia. We arrived late in the night and we were transferred by taxi from the airport straight to the hotel. It took us 35 minutes approximately to reach Beach Towers. Atlantis is located in Paradise Island which is an amazing island with crystal clear water and an unbelievable aquarium facility. Regarding the food, there is a variety of choice where to eat: Try to taste Olives in Casino, the Mosaic Buffet in Cove and Mesa Grill as well. Wherever you go, you will need at least 200 $ for 2 people apart from cocktail drinks. And the worst of the case is that even though the gratuity (15%) is included to all bills, the waiters are still expecting more tips starring at you with half an eye !!! As for the room, we truly believe that the price was so expensive for such a basic room. The room was very noisy and needs renovation: Old furniture, and the bathroom could definitely use updating.

Hotel excelente com parque aquático

Posted 2-Feb-2015

perfect view of the resort and beach

Posted 28-Jan-2015
Pros: Variety of room types/rates, lots of adult and kid-friendly activities, variety of dining choices and price ranges.
Cons: A new coat of paint on the Beach Towers to look more a part of the resort...it stands out and looks dated.
Location: Enjoyed the water taxi to downtown. Fish Fry was fun and good eats! Wasn't hassled too much by flea market vendors, which was very pleasant! Felt safe
Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed all that the resort has to offer. Will stay again!

Cancellation policy is horrible

Posted 15-Jan-2015
No hot water. only warm. room was ok but older and needing updated. tried to leave for another hotel but was not able to get a refund. food prices were twice the price in the US. you get nickle and dime to death. long walks to anywhere and cabs were expensive.
