Housekeeping

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Housekeeping only came 1 time over the 4 days we were there and we never had enough towels. Also, the drain was always clogged in the shower and the sink so we each had to wait for it to drain before the next person got in which was an inconvenience... I'm sure that was just a plumbing issue but it was never addressed. Overall, I would still come back to stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel, no help with bags

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Great hotel. Valet was useless. We parked with them, we tried to use the free shuttle they offer but there was always an excuse why it wasn't available and they didn't offer to help with our bags let alone touch them. Rest of the hotel was great.

Bad experience

Posted 6-Jul-2014
I usually do not complete the reviews but, this time I really need to. Our stay at the Doubletree started off good, great location, valet, bell hop, which was nice especially after a 12 hour car ride. However, after exploring Nashville for a little we decided to go back and relax at the hotel. I needed something from my vehicle and ask the valet service if I could have the keys to go get it. At this point they said they would get it for me, which I agreed to. This is when I learned that the valet service DID NOT HAVE MY KEYS!!!! At first it started that someone must have put them in the wrong place (that was the first Hour) 2nd hour I was informed that they were still trying to locate them and not to stress out about the situation. Remember I just drove 12 hours and was completely exhausted. The 3rd hour I was told that the keys were gone and had no idea where they were, and that they would pay for the "lock smith" to come out and have a key made. Which it would have needed to go to the dealership. The desk manager at this time informed me that all valet managers were going through all the vehicles to look for my vehicle keys. Eventually I received a call that my keys were located in ANOTHER VEHICLE!!!! I appreciate the managers coming in and finding them but had the employee who moved my car in the first place done the job correctly and not toss my keys on the seat of the other vehicle they were moving, This incident would not have happened!!!!

Perfect location for Broadway

Posted 2-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: The shower head was too low so had to be hand held.
Location: If you like live music, there is no better place in the world to be!
The hotel staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. They had great recommendations for dining and entertainment. Very knowledgeable, including the valet. Had an accessible room which was roomier than some of the other rooms, but the shower head was way to low so you had to hold it to take a shower. Just 4 short blocks to Tootsies and the other wonderful "honky-tonks" on Broadway. Many great restaurants nearby and most are affordable.

Stayed for a couple nights, was good stay. Small beds in double room however. Wish a fridge was included for how much it cost per night.

Just OK **

The people in the hotel were friendly ... The shower was built for people no taller than 5 ft. We paid for a suite with one king got a suite with two doubles which sucked but we were stuck with it.....

Hotel is a convenient walk to downtown attractions

Posted 29-May-2014
Location: County Music Hall of Fame. Ryman Auditorium. Local bars and restaurants that feature local bands.
It was nice to have a place to park without utilizing a pay to park garage where you would have to pay every time you took your car out and then back in. Food at restaurant was good and convenient. Staff was pleasant and having a Starbucks in the hotel was great!

Weekend Getaway in Nashville

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff, accommodating
Cons: Bigger selection in the convenience store
Location: Broadway, Puckett's BBQ, Printer's Alley, Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum
My fiancé and I traveled to Nashville for a weekend getaway over Memorial Day weekend. We arrived a day earlier than expected for our reservations and the hotel staff was very accommodating, even with our late arrival after midnight. Although they did not give us a discount for arriving so late and basically only spending half of a night on Friday due to the no cancellation policy, they did upgrade our room for the next two nights as well as offer free breakfast. One front desk girl (I forget her name) was extremely helpful with offering tips on what to see/where to eat/where to go out, considering this was our first visit to Nashville. We also enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookies! The location of the Double Tree was also very convenient. As an avid traveler to cities, I also look for hotels with a good location, where you can walk to most of the main sites. This hotel was only a short five minute walk from Broadway and sites such as the Johnny Cash Museum and the Music Hall of Fame. Overall, it was an excellent hotel!
