Save your money.

Pros: The room was very large and comfortable. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room.
Cons: The indoor pool, heat it so guests may use and enjoy it, or advertise it is unusable in March/April.
Location: Nashville Zoo...awesome!
I will be honest, this is the first review I've ever written and it's because I was SO disappointed with this hotel. My bill for one night was over $500 - I knew this going in and chose this hotel because our NY winter would not end and I wanted my kids to have time in the pool. I was surprised and a bit happy when we got to the pool and no other guests were there. Well, we soon discovered why...the pool was all but unusable. FREEZING cold. We went into the pool area (indoors) and the kids could not get in - yes, it was that cold. I had three separate sets of guests pop their heads in and ask, "Is it warmer than yesterday?" One man came in and said he had also booked for the pool and had to fill up the tub so his 4 year old could swim. I am a mother who plans her vacations so they are enjoyable, please, PLEASE do not advertise a pool when it is unusable.

so close to downtown

Although it was under construction we had a great time. A little disappointed in the continental breakfast. Couldnt bring myself to pay $17 for breakfast. It is very close to Broadway and it wasnt a bad walk. I would stay here again!!

This hotel is under construction and certainly looks like it. The interior in like a construction zone and is obviously unappealing. The cookies are fantastic! The valet and housekeeping crew is not friendly at all but the front desk crew was great. This hotel is not as close to the action in downtown as they advertise.

Walking distance to downtown.

This will be the second time staying at the Double Tree. Great distance from downtown Nashville. Nice rooms. Stayed in March of 2015 and they were remodeling so a little crazy in the lobby but didnt effect stay. Staff is great. If you hear bad reviews from the weekend of the 27th, you'll have to be a little forgiving. Every hotel in downtown was booked and the staff was working as fast as they could.

A hotel to AVOID

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
They shouldnt even thinking about charging half of what they charge....the hotel is under construction, w/to any condition to offer good quality service and accomodations...if this hotel really cost $500/nigth something is wrong in Nashville.

Would stay again , but a bad experience with check in. Room was not ready not only mine but for many. Had to leave to go to my concert without being able to get ready in my room . Lot of unhappy people , but they went out of there way to make up for it with several vouchers as well as refunding some of the bi

Graceland

Pros: Location to Graceland
Cons: No
Location: Great. Graceland. Beale. Museums.
The location was great! Could not have asked for a better place. The room was very comfortable. The refrigerator was so handy for fruit we brought on the trip with us. The distance to Graceland was excellent. The package was the best. Loved the tour and other items

Nashville horror

Posted 29-Mar-2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: Every thing
Perhaps the most over priced hotel I have ever stayed at. No direct access to the hotel from valet drop off. Lobby in disarray, Vending machines out of order. lamp only on one side of the bed.

Under Construction

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: Staff was good.
Cons: While everybody can understand renovation, it was causing everything to be difficult.
Location: Great location in downtown Nashville. Near concert and symphony hall (Yes Nashville has a great symphony hall and orchestra), many restaurants.
Parked with valet, then had to walk a block to get to check in area. There was a temporary check area set up to handle check in and out when we arrived. Even though it was 4:00 pm and we had a reservation, we had to wait while they got a room ready. Apparently they assigned rooms based on length of stay and we were last because we were staying one night.. When we finally got a room, we heard power tools for several hours each day. Phone was out and bathtub dripped. Aside from the construction, the staff was friendly and worked efficiently to help. Bell staff was quick and friendly as were the valets. We told front desk about phone and then happened to see the engineer in the elevator. He was apologetic for the phone problem and went directly to get it fixed from our conversation. One complaint that galled me was that even though hotel is in area with many late night amenities (clubs, concerts, symphony) the restaurant closed at 11:00, which was ten minutes before we got back and had walked four blocks from the concert.

Pros: The rooms were very comfortable!
Location: within a half a mile from ALL the fun!!
It was a little chaotic b/c of the renovation. Also public parking is a block away so drop off your luggage first to avoid hauling it.
