“Felt Like Home”

Welcoming, friendly, especially Kyoko that works at the reception. Felt like at home. Kyoko was kind and patient (and speaks excellent English) and provided all information about Nara with very precise instructions. Room was cosy and clean with all required amenities. I just loved it ! Kristina.

“Great spot”

The hotel is just 2 or 3 blocks from the JR train station-no need for taxi or any other transportation. It is also well known by the folks at the information booth. It is a small hotel, with both private and group/family accomodations. Our Ryokan style room was small as you might expect (6 tatami), with an attached bath with shower, no tub. No phone service, but the front desk relayed a fax message to us. Flat screen TV and complimentary internet are included. For convenience, cleanliness, quality of English speaking staff, and amenities, we felt it was a great value.

“An excellent choice- we'll be back”

Very good hotel, excellent value for money. Good walk in shower in our room and Internet access; the location was great, close to Nara Park and to local restaurants. We would certainly recommend it.

“Good find”

The hotel is very close to the JR Nara station (and easy to find with their map) and I found that everything was in walking distance (though you might want to rent a bicycle to get around quicker). Just around the corner is an amazing Japanese restaurant and there's a street full of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby too. I found my room to be very comfortable and the staff to be excellent and very helpful. I'd stay there again.

“Un accueil très chaleureux”

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cette guest house. L'accueil est très plaisant, et le terme guets house ets d'ailleurs plus correct que celui d'hôtel. Pour ceux qui veulent réduire les coûts de leur séjour, il y a une kitchenette où l'on peut se préparer le petit déjeuner, ou même se faire à dîner. Il y a une salle commune avec thé/café gratuits, deux PC libre service, et la télé avec "BBC internationnal". Les chambres sont petites et fonctionnelles. Par contre curieusement agencées (la salle de bain possède l'unique fenêtre, et est entièrement vitrée (pour laisser passer la lumière dans la chambre). Il y a un store qui permet d'isoler complètement la salle de bain et de conserver son intimité. Ne s'agissant pas d'un hotel, le check in ne peut être fait qu'entre 8h00 et 22h00 (après, il n'y a plus personne à la réception). Les clients peuvent entrer et sortir librement en dehors des heures d'ouverture de la réception grâce au code d'accès de la porte d'entrée.
