“Great location, place to just relax”
Wonderful, wonderful staff especially at the front desk. Our gulf view room was awesome, and its really true what the say about the beds. They were so comfortable. Best night sleep ever. Just a heads up that if you want an umbrella on the beach there is an 18/day charge. Beach chairs were free. Great location with wonderful restaurants right across the street. Cafe Paradiso right in the hotel had an wonderful brunch breakfast. Again wait staff were A-1. Very quiet time of year to visit Marco Island. Great time to just enjoy the beaches and the wonderful sunsets. You can walk forever. Sandy beaches but alot of shells - so make sure you have shoes, sandles. Definitely recommend for a couples get away.
“Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel and setting”
We had a wonderful stay here in early June 2012. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
“excess beach charge”
charging 18 dollars a day for an umberla on the beach is a little bit much and then the person wanting a tip for set-up. bring an umberla with you or buy one across the street if your staying mor then 3 days.
Beautiful hotel - friendly and helpful staff. Pool bar does not make good drinks but hotel bar makes them really really delicious. NO MAKE UP MIRRORS IN ROOM. Comfy beds. Annoying TV remote. Responds badly or not at all to channel changes.
The Staff is very accommodating in this upscale family friendly hotel. The white sandy beach was very nice, the water was calm. Great place for Sea shell collectors. There were plenty of beach activities (eg. para sailing) for families. The indoor activities were lacking though. Some "garden view" rooms over look the parking lot, the gulf the view is worth it. Food average at the resort, but lots of choices on the island. Not a good island for shopping. The Concierge Tina, was amazingly helpful.
I was told that our room had a kitchette but when we arrived it did not. It had a coffee maker and a mini fridge but the mini fridge froze everythng in it, (yogurt and drinks were ice). Otherwise, everything was perfect. Love the location and staff was very friendly. e would go again.
“Great Hotel experience”
From our 1st meal in the main dining room after a 40 minute ride from the Fort Myers airport to our last it was a great hotel experience. I was most impressed with the staff of the Hilton. They couldn't have been more pleasant. Bud the pool attendant was extremely professional and helpful. Ping the Starbucks server was also quite delightful and friendly. This is our third trip to Marco and our 1st hotel experience and we are already planning next year's vacation. The view from our suite was very good with both a view of the pool and the beach. Next year we hope to upgrade to a slightly larger suite better able to accommodate 3 adults. The two double beds were Ok but queen beds would have been preferred.
“A good choice for Marco Is”
Couldn't complain with the quality of service from the personnel. All were courteous and helpful. The only exception was the person I talked with when I called down to the front desk to ask about WiFi connections. The hotel we were just at in the Keys has free WiFi so when I asked they told me that, no, they did not have it and we would have to pay $9.95/day thru AT &T. That was disappointing. More disappointing, however, was that she neglected to tell me that they had a "business center" where we could connect to the internet free on their computers. The hotel was nice, clean and across the road from a little mall with a few restaurants. It's location on the beach was great, closer to the south end of the beach (which was beautiful). Did not try any of the restaurants in the hotel as we were only there for a short visit. I would stay there again if we went back to Marco Is.
