Very nice hotel, On the beach, But beware

My daughter and I spent the weekend at the Hilton on Marco Island, just for a weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spacious, modern and clean. We didn't spend much time at the pool but we did go to the beach and used the hotel's chairs. It was a great option. We also only ate breakfast there one morning. We opted to not partake in the buffet. Ordering off the menu was a better value. That was the only occasion we ate in the hotel aside from the outdoor grill. The grill for lunch was only ok. The one very disappointing thing was that I was charged $10 a day to park my rental car in the hotel parking lot, although I was a registered guest. It would have been $14 a day if I wanted to valet. I think that's rude since there were no other options for parking in the area. I don't think the hotel should be charging registered guests.

Great Hotel on a Beautiful Beach

We had a great time at the Marco Island Hilton. Even though this is a large hotel, the staff makes it feel like an inn. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The room was big and comfortable. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. When we go back I'd love to stay there again.

Location, Location

Pros: Location.
Cons: Room cleaning promptness. Water.
Location: Great beach access. Nice shopping center across the way.
The best part of the hotel was the location. Easy Beach access and a shopping market across the street with a theater, restaurants and ice cream parlor. The hotel was adequate, the spa excellent and the staff friendly. Little things though could have made the stay better. The room could have been done more timely and filtered or bottled water given out as the water on Marco is vile. On the whole, an enjoyable experience at The Hilton. By the way, bring water slippers as the beaches are shelly and can hurt your feet.

Cons: Reduce prices on extras like water, drinks, etc. The restaurant was priced too high for the quality of offerings.
Location: Shopping, fishing, shelling, walking, running and dining out

Family Vacation Destination

We had a great time with our family at the Hilton. The hotel is not too big and not too small, perfect size for families with little ones getting to and from. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Views were great. Easy and direct beach access. Everyday they had kids activities by the pool which my children thoroughly enjoyed. Good selection of restaurants, great location on the island within walking distance to decent shopping and great restaurants. Parking was convenient with both self parking and valet option. The check in and check out process was efficient and easy. Housekeeping on our floor left a lit to be desired, unfortunately. We stayed a week and our room was minimally cleaned each day. Plus, they always cleaned late in the afternoon which was very inconvenient. We spent our whole mornings and days outside of our room, and when we were ready to come inside and relax, we had to wait due to our room being cleaned by a very unfriendly house keeper. Second complaint, is that even though I was a Hilton Gold Member, I was treated like a second class customer because I booked through Expedia instead of Hilton directly. We were told by the front desk staff repeatedly that since we booked through a third party, they could not help us with our accommodations. It was quite ridiculous. Lastly, I was hugely disappointed that the two rooms that I booked 4 months in advance were not adjoining. I called hotel with this request 4 mos in advance
