“Orto Botanico”
This hotel is right next door to the best restaurant we encountered in all of Italy!!
“Excellent value for money, it's start rating does not represent how good the service her is”
Excellent value for money, set menu at their restaurant was 12.00 euros per person. Room clean and comfortable, would have been generous for 2 perople, a little small for 4
“Just great for our family break”
This hotel is off the tourist route and very reasonanly priced. Staff are few but all very helpful. We visited the historical centre & went not the train to vesuvius and pompeii. The hotel is 20 minutes walk from anywhere you want to go, but it has a fantastic fish/pizza restaurant just next door which locals flock to (Good prices too) - we ate there every night - get there before 8:30 or you will queue for a table.
“Great value for money hotel”
Large rooms for 4 adults sharing. Comfy beds.
“Value for money, but probably 3-star”
The hotel is a bit past it's best and it's certainly not for those who wish to indulge or expect luxury. It's a basic hotel with basic facilities. I certainly wouldn't class it as a four-star... However, it is great value for money. If you can overlook the noisy and dirty area, just walk for 10 minutes to get to the centro storico and the more touristic parts of the city. The rooms were basic, but clean and tidy. The staff were friendly enough, although hardly the most professional, but they were very helpful when we had any questions. It's a slightly more easy-going establishment than most I've stayed in, but I'm used to hostels, so this doesn't bother me, but it might bother some. To be honest, though, it's pretty much the Napolian attitude!! It's a small, family-run business, so don't expect hotel-chain niceties and efficiency. I really liked the place, but I can see how others would be taken a bit by surprise.
“Good hotel in central location”
I had to be in the National Archaeological Museum, and the hotel is conveniently located in walking distance. The hotel is comfortable and clean; it serves an excellent breakfast.
“great for a night's stay before the airport (15 euro taxi)”
This hotel turned out to be a gem. The front desk was very helpful. The room was large and comfortable with a really good shower in the bath. They had a nice small bar with moderate prices. We did not have breakfast because we checked out at 5am to catch our plane. We did have lunch and supper at the restaurant 1/2 block to the left, and both meals were wonderful. This was our only time in Naples after staying in Sorrento for a week, so we were quite happy to have a positive experience.
“Good to spend the night if fly into Naples, IT”
The hotel was very close to the airport in Naples, IT. It was clean and comfortable. The price included breakfast which was adequate. I wanted the four of us to crash in 1 room for the night and the hotel made us get 2 rooms.
“Good bang for your buck”
The hotel was nice and so was the restuarant attached. Our only complaint is that the drain didn't work properly in the bathroom so when you took a shower it overflowed onto the bathroom floor. This can be common in European hotels that do not have a bathtub/shower combo. Otherwise, the room was large and comfortable.
“Convenient to airport and train station”
The best thing about this hotel is its location close to the airport and train station. If you have luggage and are taking a taxi, it will save you a lot of time and hopefully a little money to be on this side of the city. Also great is the staff. They are extremely accommodating, gracious and helpful in a city that they know is not that easy for tourists to navigate. Most of the rooms face Via Foria, a very busy street. Part of our stay was in one of the front rooms, which was awfully noisy to the point that you couldn't leave the window open, and part of our stay in one of the back rooms, which was much better. If you can afford to stay in one of the back-facing suites, it is well worth the extra money. If you're a light sleeper or are not used to street noise, you might want to look into a different hotel if you are unable to get a back room. The neighborhood is authentic Naples, with lots of small neighborhood antiques and food shops. The area is a little bit dangerous at night. We were advised to keep all jewelry and valuables in our room safe. The hotel is within a decent walk of Da Michele pizzeria and parts of the city center but if you want a more relaxing vacation I would recommend staying on the Western side of town. The furnishings and breakfast were decent. Overall, I think we got what we paid for.
