Excellent place to stay when going to Napa.

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Local shops, excellent restaurants and nice tasting rooms within walking distance.
This hotel is impecciable with being clean, comfortable and the staff is excellent. The spa is amazing and their daily breakfast offered everyday is above and beyond your "typical" breakfast offered at a hotel. Outdoor pool is heated and every room has a little outside patio that you can enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. Local shops, tasting rooms and excellent restaurants are within walking distance which is great!

Worth the price

Close to restaurants and wineries. Awesome breakfast, especially the fast omelette station. Spa and fitness if you are in the mood but we mostly enjoyed a quiet nights rest and in room coffee after many wine tastings each day.

Good location, pleasant staff

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: Hotel front desk staff was courteous and concierge services were good. Rooms are cleaned twice a day if you care for this...
Cons: Hotel looks old and tired. A face lift is what the doctor recommends urgently.
Location: Restaurants around are glitzy but food disappointed in most of them. Some of the fancier you better bring a sandwich.
We mostly relaxed by the pool side. Service is very good and the snakes look good.

Hosting friends for their first visit to Napa

Posted 20-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Villagio's location is ideal for first time visitor's to Napa. We stayed their on our first visit years ago and recently entertained friends from London who were visiting for their first time. Over our five day stay the friendliness of the staff remained at a high level. The concierge service a week before we arrived provided outstanding restaurant and golf reservations. We walked to dinner each night to great restaurants underscoring the positive location attribute. The physical condition has "matured" since our first visit to the extent that the vegetation is beautiful but the rooms are tired. Our room was on the dark side especially for baby boomers applying makeup. We had some outlets we couldn't get to work either because we couldn't navigate the light switches or the outlets simply did not work. Overall it's a great place to launch a wine trip in Napa valley.
