“Nice B&B”

Beautifully restored Craftsman style home in downtown Napa. Rooms were comfy but not overly large. However, our room had a nice balcony screened with ivy, a gas fireplace, and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was a buffet - various breads and muffins, a frittata & hash browns kept hot on a warming plate, plus juices and coffee. Coffee is available all day in thermos servers but by evening was pretty much lukewarm and there was no microwave. Staff leaves in the evening, which seems typical of many B&Bs in the area. Bathrooms were small, but hey, it's a B&B not the Marriott. Nice quiet neighborhood - easy walk to restaurants. We would stay there again.

“"Kitchen locked"?”

My husband and I stayed at the Blackbird Inn in Napa in November and were disappointed in the service. Despite the claims about the great breakfasts at this B&B, we were told that they had "lost the key to the kitchen" and were given greasy, cold scrambled eggs, toast with no butter or jelly and cold hashed browns from a nearby restaurant (styrofoam boxes were nearby). The coffee was terrible also (probably from the day before). I wrote to the Four Sisters Hotel group more than a month ago, but received no response to my email (not even an apology). The house itself was a neat architectural style, and the room was comfortable enough. But we felt ripped off.
