Loved our stay
Loved our stay at The Black Cockatoo. We felt quite secluded, despite being a 5 minute walk from the small town ( pub, cafe, shops) Our room was really spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette, very comfy bed and everything was lovely and clean. Our host Sue was really great giving us a lot of info about the local area.

Relaxing stay in a lovely place ❤️
This accommodation is not your average stay. It’s quirky and different. Love the wildlife you can see from the deck. Listen to the Kookaburras and watch for the bandicoots. We loved our stay here!

Fabulous hidden gem ! Feels like you are hidden in the middle of nowhere, quiet, pretty sanctuary, but stroll 5 min and you are in the centre of the cutest town. Lots to do within driving distance. Safari tents were gorgeous. Electric blankets on beds and heater provided. Lots power points. Well appointed camp kitchen. Shared bathroom facilities always clean and stocked. Owners friendly. Will definitely be back !

Although everything was very close to town, you still felt like you were in the bush. Lovely warm heater in the room. Possum parties happening outside after dark. Great place to stay.

Really enjoyed our two night stay as my friend and I needed time out from the city and this place was perfect. So lovely waking up to bush views and birdsong. The luxury safari tent was secluded and private. Very relaxing and had everything we needed. Highly recommend to stay here and to visit the gorgeous town of Nannup.

Very quaint, well appointed cottage with an outdoor kitchen that was super cute. Nestled in the bushes, you would have no idea it was only a few minutes walk from town. Electric blankets added an extra layer of comfort but reverse cycle air conditioning was also available. My daughters described it as magical and our cat Daisy, who also came along, loved it too.

Liked the fact that it was tucked away and the seclusion of it. Didnt like that there was no secure parking and all the towels felt and smelled damp and musty. They certainly werent nice fresh towels.

It was great to stay in one of the tents, close to nature amongst the trees, in a quiet part of town, yet close enough to walk to everything which Nannup town had to offer. Sue was very helpful and always readily available for any assistance which might be required.

Lovely cottage in beautiful Nannup.
Really nice cottage only a block from town centre but completely tucked away in a lovely, private bush setting. Very comfortable with full kitchen, bathroom facilities - terrific value for money.

Lovely wood housing amongst the natural cottage like gardens. beautiful and clean unit. Really enjoyed the dog friendly area. everything was great but only complaint is the lighting as the room was a bit dark in the mornings.

The outlook into the natural bush was great, and to be able to hear all the natural sounds and being 5 minutes from town was amazing. Sue was a lovely warm lady and she was wonderful to deal with.

Quaint cottage
Nice secluded cottage in a very leafy garden. The shared bathroom was only about forty metres from our cottage but would have been further from the tents. Very close to the Main Street so we could walk to see the town.

Accommodation is on a beautiful rambling overgrown property - better than the pics and what I expected from 'glamping' in terms of facilities and cleanliness. Sue was welcoming and relaxed about our dog. The heater and electric blankets kept us warm at night.

Highly Recommended Stay
We spent 10 days in Perth with changing accommodation every night. We spent a night in Nannup and this is by far the best accomodation we had. We stayed in Wattle Room, it had a homely feel. Sue and Derek are so thoughtful as they placed a heater in the toilet so that we did not have bear with cool shower. It was relaxing to wake up in the morning with bird chirping. It was a shame that we did not manage to see possums though we know they are around.

It's really cool to camp without camping. I mean sleep on a real bed that's warm and cosy, but still be surrounded by trees and the sounds of wildlife at night. I would do this again with my family😄

The gardens are beautiful, it’s fairly quiet,except for the possums, and the room has everything you need for a cosy winter break. They were very accommodating of my dog and even provided a “doggy sheet” so that we could snuggle and not ruin the furniture. Very welcoming place.

We have just returned from a delightful, wonderful relaxing two night stay at the Black Cockatoo in Nannup WA. I can't rate it highly enough. We stayed in the wattle studio, the studio had everything you would need for a prefect getaway. The beds were very comfortable with lots of blankets even had electric blankets, the reverse air con on the heat setting was prefect. My only suggests would be that maybe two extra towels were provided as during the winter months it is hard for the towels to dry. The tv was sitting on a low table which was hard to watch, therefore if it was on a higher table this would be much better. Even though it was wet the gardens are amazing and magical. We were warned the possums would be loud, but did realise how loud until the first night, they wake us at 4.00am in the morning.

We had a Lovely stay, the bathroom facilities were very good. The Tent was Basic, but the added warmth of Electric blankets was great. The kitchen facilities were basic but sufficient. I was worried as the Price was so reasonable, it was far better then my expectations. The staff were very friendly. We would certainly stay again.

A Hidden Gem - would stay again!
What a wonderful time we had staying in The Tiger Room. We were greeted by the most welcoming host - who told us lots of info about the town and picked some fresh flowers to put in a vase for us! The room was so cosy and comfortable - instantly felt at home. The grounds were magical - walking around you felt like you could get lost in this amazing garden. At night there were fairy lights through the walking trails. We felt very safe and the room, whilst attached to their main house - felt very private. The WIFI was excellent, heating was brilliant. Kitchen very equipped. Free communal BBQ and garden setting available.

Plenty of space in this cute cottage and it is surrounded by lovely gardens. It is only a very short walk to the main street and the cottages are equipped with everything you could need. The owners are lovely and checking in and out is easy. If you are a light sleeper you may need to bring earplugs because of the noisy possums, but after the first night you don’t notice them anymore.
