The Grand Cru Restaurant and Lounge is onsite. Overlooking the private garden, this fine-dining restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch. Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar, while sampling from the Tapas Menu. Afternoon tea is served Tuesday - Thursday afternoon. The Restaurant is closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday.

“Traditional Room Was Acceptable”

We stayed 2 nights in the 'Traditional' room which was a basic room with 2 queen beds. No special amenities but we were happy in relation to the price we paid. Would stay again depending on available special rates.

“Can recommend”

Newish hotel on northern edge of town near main highway North and West.Very tight site backing onto cliff and rooms at front overlook shopping mall. Easy to find. Rooms large and clean. Restaurant closed on Monday evening when we arrived, but easy 15 minute drive into Nanaimo centre to eat (however many places seem to be closed on a Monday evening. Would stay there again. Staff helpful and friendly. Good breakfasts (ours included in room rate)

“Grand”

We have stayed in a number of hotels in Nanaimo but this was the best. Quiet. Helpful staff. Disappointing features - quality of the linen and blankets. No free Wi-Fi

“moved to another hotel that had the upgrades we needed at a lower cost and was quite comfortable”

was expensive for a view that was at the back of the building which was a rock. upgrade for just a refrigerator would have cost more after a few days I could buy a bar fridge myself. this was disappointing. even though the building itself was nice it was not what we needed as we were involved with sports. the pool was kind of shallow and the youths did not use.
