Quick stopover
The decor style I'd call 'heritage'. Very large open plan public areas. Good choice at breakfast and a nice view of the pool area/garden. Staff very friendly. Good value for money, sad ti see so few guests at the moment...

The hotel is great, right next door to a night market with an incredible range of foods. Breakfast was good but the best thing was the staff who were wonderful

Very nice with helpful staff.
The building is a little dated and there was difficulty finding available electrical outlets in the room. But it is very well kept, a gorgeous lobby, nice pool, and a fantastic buffet breakfast. We would definitely stay there again!

We booked a stay here for us and two generations of our family due to the facilities, including the gardens and Executive Lounge. Sadly, we were disappointed in both. The hotel was previously part of the 4 star Dusit chain, but has since been sold to the 3 stat Imperial chain. The rooms were clean and had been refurbished to some extent (old furniture, etc not replaced). The staff, other than in the restaurant, were pleasant and helpful, and breakfast okay. The "grounds" other than the pool overlooked a very busy 6 lane highway and it was impossible to sit in this area. The promised Executive Lounge was a small, dark room (the lights were kept switched off) with about 4 chairs and a non functioning coffee machine; neither a lounge nor "executive". The restaurant had a limited, over-priced menu and was barely used by our fellow guests save for breakfast. This was once no doubt Korat's premier hotel, but it is now in a sad state of decline. There are other hotels (especially the Kantary) which are far better.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, my room was very clean and comfortable, had an old style, solid wood doors and furniture, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was in great condition with plenty of hot water, the staff is awesome, buffet is good. I love Night Markets and there's a big one right down the street, plenty of places to eat during the day. I liked it, will be back for sure.

Hotel was amazing and staff were friendly. only two bad points. the local area didn't have too much around it and our shower would change between 3 settings no matter how we set it. jumping out of roasting or freezing cold water every minute was a let down.

This is a simply stunning hotel, okay its a Bangkok tower, but the overall feel especially on the ground floor riverside is of colonial hideaway. There is nothing I can’t fault with the service, location, food, and rooms.

A three star operation in a five star hotel
As this was a dusit hotel before it still has the elegance and grandeur .the rooms are very good as well as the various wings in the hotel.Clearly it will be a challenge for new management as they need to cut costs .I would only rate the breakfast 3 stars.its adequate but not great.

A good hotel in Korat
The hotel must get a stronger marketing office. The facility is very good but needs some work. Clean your grounds, simple. Work on your pool area, get ride of unsafe furniture for starters. Get a new F&B manager. How can you have a great Chinese restaurant like you have and not promote it. Stayed at the hotel three days ate at the Chinese restaurant three night each night the waiting staff had to turn on the lights!!! Are you open or not? The breakfast buffet can be improved, better quality and much better staff training. Management issue not worker issue. The Imperial Hotel is a very good facility that’s poorly managed at the worker level-mid-management. The bathrooms are nicer, cleaner and better maintained that the JW Marriott in Bangkok. Somebody is doing something right. Hotel transportation, provide complimentary shuttle service to Central Plaza, Terminal 21. The Korat cab company is a disgrace to the city to Korat and to Thailand; a country that for it tourism destination. It hurts businesses like the Imperial Hotel. If you are visiting Korat, the Imperial Hotel is a “good” facility, clean safe and secure, with clean beds and very clean bathrooms. Quiet as well. Fix your small problems, customer will come. Provide a location map in the lobby for shopping areas, places to eat and visit, hospital facilities, clean your pool area. Ok for a brief stay
We'd chosen the hotel because we wanted one with a pool since the weather was very hot. However, due to the condition of the pool and area did not use it at all. It was not too far a taxi ride to the bus station so that was good. A bit over priced for the value.
