First room was not advertised as a smoking room, I am allergic to cigarette smoke, and without even having to walk into the room upon opening the door, I was immediately hit with a waft of cigarette smoke. I never would have knowingly booked a smoking room!
Secondly, the front desk clerk had zero customer service skills!
Third, the room we were assigned was at the back of the property adjacent a dark wooded lot. There were no lights in the parking lot to brighten up the lot at night, so it was a dark scary horror movie setting location for our room.
Fourth, When you pull into the parking lot for the “hotel” the front of the building actually has a large neon sign for the attached golf themed restaurant in the front of it, and no signs for the actual hotel other than the one at the front of the parking lot. If you didn’t just assume that the awning off to the side of what was clearly the front of the building, you would have no indication other than the hotel rooms behind the clearly marked restaurant that there even was a hotel front desk somewhere. It would be nice if in the DARK parking lot there was some signage or other indications that “Here is the hotel’s front desk.”
After we opened our smoke filled room, didn’t even enter, and returned to the front desk to ask for a different room, we were told, NO. And no they couldn’t cancel or refund us for our booking because we could not stay there, and they wouldn’t move us to a different room.
Don’t stay here!!!
