“Most comfy bed and pillows ever!”
The reception desk is attended 24 hours. I arrived at 3am in the morning and had no trouble picking up my room key at all. The bed and pillows were so comfy that I felt that I was sleeping on air! The towels and toiletries were also of a good quality. The best of all, I was gently awoken by the songs of birds. Although I was there only for a night, I definitely enjoyed the stay.
“Was totally impressed”
After giving me about five minutes to get in the room and look around the front desk called to make sure everything was in order and to tell me if I needed anything at all not to hesitate to call. The room was in great condition and the staff was very helpful the next morning with the breakfast bar, making sure no items go too low and everything was fresh.
“VERY CLEAN”
HOTEL IS IN A VERY GOOD LOCATION CLEAN AND EVERYTHING WORKED I.E. AIR CONDITIONER, COFFEE POT,HAIR DRYER,TELEVISION AND ICE BOX. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
“very clean, quiet and neat”
Did not hear a peep out of anyone there ... just a nice clean place to stay in a nice little Texas town ... what a busy part of Texas though ... wasn't a parking spot left at the hotel and not a room available after four pm ... something is up in the oil business I suppose.
“Loud Neighbors!”
The room was pretty nice. A few small things were out dated (bathtub, toilet, floor in bathroom vanity area). The beds were very comfortable and the staff was super nice! From the ladies at the front desk to the houskeepers, everyone was very friendly. The walls seemed pretty thin however and you could hear people walking upstairs and all the surrounding nieghbors.

“Enjoyed my overnight stay”
I checked in, and was treated courteously. There was a misunderstanding with Expedia, involving a hotel receipt, but the desk clerk was quick to make the suggestion on how to resolve it. She was professional and quite nice. Later on, when I realized that I had forgotten to take toothpaste, she personally brought it up to me. I highly recommend this La Quinta to all travelers.
“This hotel cost way too much for what you get”
Too high in price for a hotel in Lufkin. It may be clean and all things nice enough. Breakfast was so over crowed that they run out of food by 9:00 am and very little time until until check to go somewhere else and have breakfast.
“Okay for one night and wireless works effectively.”
The room was a "non smoking" room but smelled of cigarette anyway. There were large indentions on the beds as if someone or something really large was sitting on the mattresses. The bath tub faucets were difficult to shut off as they kept turning and turning. For a one night stay it was comfortable except for the cigarette smell. The wireless worked well.
“La Quinta meets basic needs”
The hotel meets all basic needs without many extra's. The bathroom area was small but workable. There was an iron in the room which we did need. The staff was extremely nice and very accomodating. The coffee and continental breakfast was adequate (if there had been real mugs it would have brought the experience up a notch). The hotel is located directly on Rte. 59 so it was a little noisy, but very convenient. The pool was located in the back and was a nice little oasis from all the asphalt. The price was right and worked for us!
