Property Amenities
The Long Bay Resort is within two miles of Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede dinner show, and within five miles of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and NASCAR SpeedPark.
Complimentary, supervised indoor and outdoor activities are provided for children in summer, with surcharges added for certain arts and crafts and a weekly pizza night. Coin-operated laundries are provided in the Long Bay Resort's main tower and in the Teakwood motel across the street from the main resort. A game room contains a pool table and coin-operated video games. An expansive fifth-floor sundeck furnished with lounge chairs provides a panoramic ocean view.

The 315-room Long Bay Resort offers tropical-decor guestrooms, two-room suites, and three-bedroom condos in a 16-story oceanfront tower, in two four-story oceanfront buildings flanking the tower, and in the three-story Teakwood motel across the street from the main resort. In-room safes and flat-screen TVs are available.
Dining
Oceanview Café & Bar - Located on second floor of main building. Casual. Beach-theme decor. Air-conditioned, with open-air terrace above main outdoor pool. Open late morning to late evening for burgers, sandwiches, salads, tropical drinks.
Martin's - Air-conditioned restaurant and bar. Breakfast buffet and à la carte menu. Dinner menu featuring specials such as beef stroganoff.
Recreation
An outdoor pool deck offers a 100-by-40-foot swimming pool and a 16-person spa tub terraced above beach level. Adjacent at the beach level lies another outdoor pool, this one measuring 45 by 15 feet. An indoor/outdoor complex whose glass front is removed in summer contains a 250-foot lazy river, a 50-foot swimming pool, a 35-foot children's pool with a mushroom shower, three four-person spa tubs, a shuffleboard court, Ping-Pong tables, plants, and lounge chairs.
Teakwood rooms are located in three-story motel set across street from the main resort and beach. The motel faces the street. A 35-foot-long kidney-shaped pool surrounded by a palm-tree-lined sundeck is furnished with lounge chairs and umbrella tables. Guests of these rooms enjoy full access to all resort facilities, including water attractions.
Unlike most resorts--whose beach access is over wooden stairs protecting fragile grasses--the Long Bay Resort provides direct beach access via a 10-yard sand path. Umbrellas and beach chairs are available for rent. Located between the resort and the beach are lawns with lounge chairs for sunbathing.
A water sports center 5.5 miles away offers a wide variety of rental equipment, including Jet Skis and windsurfers, and books parasailing flights and banana boat rides.
Guests enjoy playing privileges at the private Dunes Golf and Beach Club, which features an 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. that has played host to PGA Senior Tour tournaments and the Women's U.S. Open. The resort's golf center will arrange tee times.

“Can't Wait Until We Can Return”
I really enjoyed our stay at The Long Bay Resort and would definately return. The ocean view 3 bedroom suite was delightful and being a smoker, I was pleasantly surprised that I since I was unable to smoke in the room...I was accommodated by the staff with a smoking urn on our private outdoor balcony. You have to try (onsite) Martin's Restaurant..superb service, excellent menu, and an authentic table side Caesar salad that I hope to return for, as soon as I get the opportunity. Only wish that the hotel supplied coffee for the coffee maker instead of having to go to Starbuck's, but next time I will bring my own. Suggestion to the hotel...it would have been nice to have the option to pay for a movie on the cable TV...other than that...Superb! :)
“I would definately stay here again”
The hotel staff was very nice and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stqay and would absolutely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.
“Pleasantly suprised for the price!”
The hotel was a pleasant suprise for the price. Our room was very large (no pun entended) roomy, The beds were surprisingly very comfortable! Not like most hotels with hard beds. The staff was pleasant to work with and helpful. The only thing I was slightly disappointed was the resturant on site. It was rather pricy for the food they had. But over all we were truly satisfied with the experience.

We loved the hotel!!! The indoor pool was warm and the lazy river was long. A breakfast buffet was available at a reasonable price. The two room apartment gave us a little privacy from the kids. They loved playing with the giant chess and checkers. We'll definitely be back!
“Convienent Location”
This area is very handy for getting around - very quick in and out for day trips.
“Great service”
We checked into a room on the first floor, and due to recent heavy rains, Palmetto bugs were able to come into the room! (There were some out by the beautiful pool area.) The room was very clean, so I DO NOT fault the hotel! I called the desk and asked if we could go to a higher floor, and within 10 minutes we were upgraded to an oceanfront suite on the 8th floor. Great service, and again, this is NATURE, heavy rains flooded Myrtle Beach the day before! The hotel staff was great.

From the time we set foot on the hotel property till' our departure, we were extremely happy to have spent our vacation at this hotel. The staff were extremely well trained. Great experience and whenever we go back, we will definitely stay there.
“Don't know why, but THANKS !”
Still not knowing why, upon arrival the front desk clerk informed us that we would be upgraded to a suite instead of the standard room we booked at no addition charge. I thought that was awesome. The room was nearly perfect not to mention all the fun and exciting things to do right in the hotel. The customer service was good as well. I would refer this hotel to all my friends. We are a family of four and by far this was one of the most comfortable stays yet!

The staff, the location, the proximity to restaurants, attractions and shopping was all excelent. The pools where clean and the food on site was superior. My wife and I feel in love with Long Bay and we will surely pay them a visit in the very near future. Long live Long Bay.
