Under construction

Posted 18-Mar-2014
They gave me a room with two queens when I booked a king. There were shirts hanging in the closet, the shower leaked, wallpaper was falling down, and was not clean. The did give us a recently redone room for the second night, but the construction around was not fun.

Nasty place

Posted 17-Mar-2014
There was no heat in the room. I called the front desk 4 times before anybody came to check the heater to see what the problem was. Im never staying at the place again.

Not a great experience!

The room was dated back from the 80's. Microwave was broke. The wallpaper was coming off. The lampshade was ripped. The patio rug was ripped bad. We had a construction crew with a big crane right outside our window. Our experience was not a great one for the price we paid. Unhappy!

Not what I expected

Posted 13-Mar-2014
Hotel is undergoing renovation! Upon check in, the clerk laughed said, "by the way there is paint spill on you floor, let us know if it bothers you"! Maids barely made the beds, one trash can in the entire room, empty twice the entire week. Had to call for toilet paper twice! Our daugher's room had a Murphy bed......I was horrified at what was behind it when we pulled it down! They changed the entire hotels room key codes and had to get new card....never asked for ID nothing just room number!

My birthday weekend

I really enjoyed my stay at the crown reef resort. My only issue is they were renovating and the cranes disturbed the view. Otherwise very nice!!!

Crown Reef...not much

Posted 12-Mar-2014
Pros: It is on the beach..had an ocean view room
Location: Too far away to walk anywhere except Damon's...wish it were closer to other interests.
Didn't find staff very friendly..everything seemed somewhat unorganized...found left over food boxes in fridge...apparently cleaning staff failed to check fridge. Pretty disgusting...what else did they not do? They were also redoing the hotel which made for workers and mess

Good but Not Great

Posted 23-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
Our room was clean, but they was doing construction in our tower so it was noisy. The bed was new and really firm, too firm for me but that is just me. Love the location right beside Damon's Grill. But you are on the far end of Ocean Blvd from everything else. It is winter so didn't get to use the pools. Over all I give a 4 / 5 for this trip.

Needed a mental getaway!

Pros: The ocean view room, the cost, the handicap accessible shower and the café.
Cons: Just would like the linen changed on the bed when asking for it to be done.
Location: Location was great, we drove 1 hour over to Wilmington to check out another outing.
I took the week before Thanksgiving to be with my mom and my brother for some rest and relaxation. The trip was wonderful. The café of the 3rd floor served breakfast only, but the food was delicious. My mom ate as I haven't seen her eat in years. She loves bacon and it was all you could eat. We sat and ate and had good conversation and I truly enjoyed her company. My brother and I done the same thing the next morning, celebrating his birthday and it was wonderful. The stay was just good all the way around.
